My Gorilla Zkittles Auto from 420 Fastbuds have all shot up quick and im on day 12 for my eldest plant seeing super slow growth just waiting on the second set of actual finger leaves and its taking forever, lighting and temperature and humidity have been consistent and its getting 72°F -80° and 70 to 80% humidity for an ideal Vpd of .8. My watering only wets the top soil and i only water again when the first two inches of soil are dry ive used loose airy potting soil for the soil around the stem and then fox farms ocean blend around that. Someone let me know if theres a specific time i need to start with nutrients as the tips of the first two finger leaves are just barely white.

First off what are you using for soil/med. if it’s organic or soils with nutrients that would be the issue alone check your ppm at run off sometimes the soils run hot, I can tell right off u have nutrient burn, you ideally shouldn’t be feeding anything in straight soil base until you see the fourth set of leaves and the first set start to yellow back. Another thing is ph, the plant is already stressed and expect it to flower very soon it will shoot up fast, with that said the soil may have enough nutrients to push it through but cal mag will become a very fast issue, I would hold steady at a cod of around .6 hope it helps

funnily enough ive got 2 gorilla zkittles which look just the same , mine are at about 4 days .. i know that as soon as a seedling can get some photons on a leaf it will pause above ground and concentrate and putting roots down for about a week or two.....thats what i am telling myself. (although i expected that first one to be a bit bigger)
Im just watering from the bottom to try and make the roots search a bit more.

Thank god this is a shared experience and we are trying to troubleshot early. How many days old are your girls?

Thank you so much for the help will definitely start my next seeds in my tray and leave them in there for longer than previously, as well as put more potting soil when i plant them in the pot. I have a baby that just sprouted so im gonna get that going tomorrow.

they are about 5 days old now , what is your soil temperature like? ive got a heat mat under mine otherwise it would be too cold where i am . I also give them a light misting with diluted root juice or clonex once a week to try and get the roots moving.

Dont have the Gorilla Z, but I do have a Purple Haze and Apple Strudel from FastBuds going right now with Northern Lights and Frostbanger at the rdy afterwards to keep testing this. It's just my two cents ofc, but as I've found it's really about those initial days of rooting. I start in coco coir with a repot in week 3/4. I dont think it should matter too much which medium you start in as long as its airy and warm enough with as little nutes as possible. In the pic below you'll see the Purple in the corner and Apple everywhere else, where the difference at germ was Ph, EC and frequency of fertigation. They are 2 weeks apart.
Purple got to 2.1EC, 5.8Ph in 9 days with 2 ferts a day from the start, started at 6.0Ph and just went down from there, never up.
Apple got to 1.9EC, 6.0Ph in 11 days with 1 fert up to day 10 before doubling. I've kept her at 6.0-6.2Ph the entire time until repot.

You spot the difference. Higher Ph with a slower nute buildup up to flower really filled up the tent. Apple was supossed to be 110cm max as an XL but got to 150cm (without pot). Had to supercrop mid stretch.
They can take quite a lot but you really have to take it slow and careful.

you shouldn’t just water the top soil you should water throughly and let it dry back. when they are very small you can water a smaller circumference along the stem extending a couple of cms from the circumference of the leaves but it should be throughly soaked.

how are your gorilla zkittles doing? ive given up on mine and repotted them so i could inspect the roots , i think i was so worried about over watering mine were too dry , i had it sitting on a heat mat so i think the water evaoprated too quick , but i had SOME roots so i wetted everything and repotted into my final container. if these 2 dont take off i am going to put two seeds straight in the final pot now that its wet and warm.
