Hello to the THC Farm. Been growing for a few years. Used to be mostly outdoors but have converted to mostly indoors now.

Currently running a few beat up clones, a handful of slow growing seedlings and a flowering room that consists of some flowering plants just starting to bud now.

Chime in, ask questions or watch silently. This is a great way to document my grow and be able to know exactly when shit goes south lol

So what made u move from an outdoor grower. Or ya gonna do both once weather permits.
Hopefully it's not the same thing that caused me to give up on outdoor...some idiot neighbour who doesn't know how to sex their plants. 3 years in a row I had great plants that over the course of a weekend went from really nice bud to a massive collection of seeds. Some people don't seem to realize that pollen spreads quite a distance. Nor do they seem to realize that their utter incompetence (or straight up malevolence!!!) will completely ruin everyone else's crop. I say "straight up malevolence" because I have heard one person say they were going to start growing a male in their back yard to screw up everyone else's plants because they personally don't agree with the law. I'm glad I had an air-tight alibi when their male got chopped down one night, that's for sure. 🤣 😂😉

Live on the outskirts of a big city. Rec growing is legal for each household. Outdoor is tough to find a decent spot and still illegal unless ots your property. Im get'n old, don't need to risk that anymore. I do enjoy the challenges of indoor and getting the perfect environment and keeping plants healthy to supply a fire harvest.
Thanks for stopping in @Hossgrows

Thats painful! Would be very tricky to deal with since pollen flies through the air a great distance. Never had that happen in our outdoor grow areas, guerilla style.
Are you located in a legal state/province?

Yes. I'm in the (currently) frozen tundra of eastern Ontario. We can legally grow up to 4 plants per household. Luckily I'm the only one in the household who partakes, so I can do up to 4 plants at a time. I'm in a small-ish village here, but it seems almost everyone likes to smoke and most are trying their hand at growing outdoors with a couple of plants. As I said, I just wish they'd take the time to educate themselves instead of saying, "Well, I threw a couple of tomato plants in some dirt a few years back, they turned out fine. How different can this be?" I stopped with trying outdoor last year and moved it indoors, but my neighbour had all his plants go to seed (as usual) last summer. Too bad, too, as they were around 8' tall and buds the size of my forearm! Unfortunately he spends quite a bit of time at his cottage and didn't even notice until it was waaaaaay too late.

Since moving indoors, I had a great grow last winter using Promix HP and a decent light. Learned a TON from my (many) mistakes and this year I'm going full hydro with a DWC system. Bought a nice setup from Spider Farmer with the 7 gal. bucket system, upgraded the air stones and pump, bought a new SF SE4500 light for my 2x4 tent, the SF AC10 PS "intelligent" power strip kit with all the sensors, new 4" inline exhaust fan, new "smart" oscillating fan, new vivosun humidifier and ac infinity T3 heater and a good PAR meter for dialing in the PPFD. I still have tons left of the GH Flora Trio nuts left, so I'm good there. Decent testing pens, and a bottle of CaliMagic. Just waiting on my seeds to germinate (they're on a heating mat using the paper towel method, currently at the beginning of day 3 so anytime now!!!) and have a seedling starter kit with built-in LED in the dome (vivosun kit, I believe). While they're germinating I'm spending the next week or so dialing in the environment in the tent with the new equipment. I'm aiming to get the heater, humidifier and exhaust fan to run in conjunction with each other using the Spider Farmer AC10 PS power strip using the VPD readings to trigger things on and off, but having a HELL of a time trying to get the sensors to work properly...and I have to say, Spider Farmer customer service is...well...quick to respond but absolutely useless when it comes to solutions to put it mildly. "Check the diagram" seems to be their stock answer, as if I'm some illiterate moron who can't follow a simple daisy chain diagram...

Any way, enough of my rant...lol.

Cheers,

BA.

I may end up with a tent someday.
Mainly for raising a male for pollen, sexing seedlings from regs, maybe growing those long flowering landrace sativa's, even.

Grow on, brother.

IM(unpopular)O - everyone is allowed to grow a number of plants and they can do it however or wherever they want (in accordance with the new laws)

That may conflict with other peoples plans from time to time. Sometimes a herm by accident or a full male on purpose.
If we want perfect conditions, we'll have to make them - by growing indoors.
But, if I catch some stray pollen on my outdoors, thems the breaks - and maybe I got some interesting new genetics for free?

Idk, I dont really expect the other 100,000 people in my city to always know what theyre doing or build their lives around my plans. But also - Ive never heard of anyone maliciously growing males just to mess with people.

I've found at least one bean from each plant I grew last year. So far.

Found two seed from one of my neighbor's plants, last year.

So you'll have to sift some seed, before ya smoke it.
We all did...back in the day.😉

Snap, crackle,.....POP.!! 🤣🤣

Well we are neighbours then. Loosely, but live in Ontario as well. Today its -21 with another 15cm of snow coming tomorrow.
Glad you stopped in to share, pop by anytime bro! Have a link to your grow thread?
No grow thread yet. Right now, all it would say is "Waiting on my seed to pop out a tap root." which is sort of pointless. I'll be posting a new grow thread once I've got it to the seedling stage.

Cheers,

BA.

Organized the mess of seeds I had in the fridge. In the last 2 months we have had 2 Bublé cans explode in the back of the fridge. Didnt think much of it.....until I opened the bottom drawer and noticed half the labels were destroyed. I am now the proud owner of a mystery pack of no name seeds 🤦🏼
