I’m on wk 9 with critical purple from growers choice. They just started. First time grow and I’ve done some things wrong I’m sure. Mine outgrew the ten too. transplanted one to the ground and another to the front porch. They outgrew the lights. Left 3 in the tent but right now all five are starting
Yea these are some pretty unique “auto”flowers .. and they grow huge. It’s just confusing cus it seems like the 12/12 is what worked but I thought autos can be ran up to 24/0 from seed to harvest and switching to 12/12 has nothing to do with it..I got some gorilla glue autos from growers choice for my next grow..but want I really want is to grow sum Runtz..I have a bag seed plant that starting flowering a lil over a month ago n looks pretty good for my first grow ..

I've got some pretty big autos myself this time around also.

I think some of it's in the strain, but some of it's improvements in my techniques, no doubt. Getting them out of the gate fast is really key, I believe.

NL is a large plant and is potbound in a 1.5gal pot, the stress is not letting your plant flower use a 3gal pot min. You can cut your light cycle 12/12 that may help induce flowering, have same problem put to large a plant in to small a pot but after cutting the cycle it started to flower. See pic day 56.

It's wasn't a true auto if you needed 12/12. My growers choice all started flowering in 4 weeks. My last one never went under 20 hrs of light.

I don’t know if I am on the right site to ask this question, but I have a very small grow room. One of my plants is already in this flowering stage where the other one is still in the vegetative stage. How do I go about using the right light cycle the one that’s in it’s boring stage is only, 1 foot with the other one is 2 1/2 feet that is not flowering yet and they were both planted at the same time but different strains. Should I just go? 12/12 for both of them at this point.

Others may disagree but I personally believe Growers Choice is a bunch of scammers. They kept spamming a couple reddit forums I liked to read with random accounts that after some digging all lead back to Growers Choice. I did some reverse image searching on the images they were using and they weren't even their own pictures, they were pulled from other forums. They are just a reseller, buying seeds in bulk from Spain and reselling them at a high markup. Same thing ILGM does as well.

They are bulk seeds, grown outdoors, and they frequently are not the strain you are wanting.

Will you get cannabis? Yes.

Will it be what you were promised? Not guaranteed at all.

I would suggest buying from a better source in the future.

If they are autos, I would give them 18 six or even 20–4! If they are photos, then you have to leave them at 12-12. And this is a pretty old thread! But it’s good to see some of the old names! And I wouldn’t touch growers choice with a 10 foot pole either!

Both plants are autos that’s the part that strange because all of my other autos usually flowered with four or five weeks. I have one that’s 2 1/2 feet tall that has no pistols or anything on it and they are females

I posted before but this problem is still going on. I have a NL auto growing in coco and organic amendments in a 1.5 gal. It sprouted 2-6-19 which makes it a lil older than 7 weeks. Pistils popped about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago but still no sign of budding. I switched my light schedule from 20-4 to 17-7 and now on 15.5-8.5 I switched to my flower nutes too . Anyone know wassup? I got the seeds from Growers Choice and i trust them, never had any seed mix-ups. This is the first time this happened, just hoping someone can give me some advice on this. I cant complain tho, for a 1.5 gallon pot its a big ass plant the shit dont know how to stop growing. Its like 2 feet tall with about 13 tops from LST.
I have the exact same issue going on trying to find out the proper light cycle. Everybody’s got their own ideas.

All my plants are auto and they’re all feminized seeds. All my other plants flowered within 4 to 5 weeks. This one here is growing so fast with a lot of family leaves, but no bud sites at all.

I had an Auto gorilla one time that refused to flower. It got absolutely massive. I switched it to 12/12 and even after weeks of that it still never produced pistils or anything. I finally said F it and cut it down, I'd wasted too much resources on it and there was no way I could continue to grow it inside when it flowered anyways. It hadn't even began to flower yet and it was already taller than my light in my tent. It got chopped up and thrown in my compost pile.

Sometimes weird genetic stuff happens.

Sometimes the auto gene fails to activate and you end up with photoperiod plants.

Biology isn't perfect.

Older thread, but anyway...

I have the same issue. I had a glass tube of Sweet Seeds Red Poison Auto. I think they were kind of old. Had good results from this batch about 5 years ago. First 3 failed. Fourth came up but was severely palsied from the get go. Long made short, she's at 68 days today.
One of the prettiest plants I've grown in some time just because of the unblemished and jungly look (it's a word).
I've been growing auto's only in coco for the last 6 years. Been awhile since I've got a hold of a photo.
Switched her to 1212 a couple of days ago. We'll see where this goes.

Update- 94 days. The switch to 12/12 worked. Keeping her on this schedule.
Either ruderalis didn't come through, or just a mis-labeled auto. Who knows. She's healthy. I'll post when she's finished, sometime in 2027 I expect.

Auto flower with Hydroponics is Super Real..When I was lived in Florida,I built a Solar powered Hydroponics system that worked great .Too reduce Watts Meter Readers. And used a 3D printer too make it ..Just wish the C Laws were different in Florida..I use snake plants for companion plants in the room.Good Luck but that’s my opinion..Professor.G..
