I found cannabis plant stress response hormones diggin on this topic lol...

abscisic acid (ABA) for drought-like or stomatal stress:
  • Main job: React to water stress, stomatal control, and general environmental stress
  • Where it acts: Primarily in stomata, leaves, seeds
  • What it does:
    • Signals stomata to close → prevents water loss during drought or high humidity shocks
    • Triggers growth slowdown during stress
    • Preps seeds for dormancy or environmental readiness
  • Trigger examples: Drought, flooding, sudden humidity changes, high salt stress
jasmonic acid and salicylic acid:

  • Main job: Defense against chewing insects and mechanical damage
  • Where it acts: Leaves, stems, flowers, even roots
  • What it does:
    • Activates genes that produce anti-herbivore compounds (like nicotine, protease inhibitors)
    • Can increase trichomes (hair-like structures) to deter pests
    • Sometimes triggers localized cell death to slow damage spread
  • Trigger examples:
    • Insect bites
    • Physical damage (cut, wind stress)
    • Certain pathogen attacks (mostly necrotrophic)

Hey you know those fountains they sell at like Spencer's or Hot Topic or something? The tabletop fog pool ones? What if you put that under the plants for 10 minutes with Neem in the water? It would probably fuck the cheap little gadget but so what for a resuce. You'd want breathing protection and after venting but if the risks are negated, that shit will penetrate far more.
(I think)

It's radically unsafe but you could use a co2 kitchen pressurizer (bigger whip cream thingy but LABELED AS SUCH) and give them some extra breath lol.
(AI has a goddamn conniption fit over all these ideas and says it's basically a chemical warfare attack but I think it's prissy)
I’ve heard that sulfur is the ultimate pest control solution . But I’ve also heard that if it’s not done properly it can kill your plants. I think that’s the burning process that can be dangerous.
Here’s what the internet says:
8

Sulfur Plant Fungicide Dust - Bonide

Sulfur is a natural element used in pest control as a contact killer for insects (like mites, thrips, psyllids, chiggers) and fungi (like powdery mildew, scab), applied as a dust, wettable powder spray, or vapor in enclosed spaces like greenhouses, working by suffocation or contact, though care must be taken with application rates and plant sensitivity. It's effective on plants, but needs proper mixing and timing, often mixed with water and repeated every 7-10 days, and can even repel rodents and snakes

There's going to be a point when you want to stop spraying shit. Get the bottled mites not the sachets. In my case it was too little too late but the little fuckers lived for a while after I got them, like 4 or 5 weeks.

Apple orchards use smudge pots for that, at least here.

Read similar on this! Got really excited at the first few sentences and then got to the part about using soaps and something in that having the adverse effect/reaction and causing the burn. I totally filed that shit away though as you said it looks like the be all of kill them dead. Can you get azatrol or azomite? hehe! LOL!

Oh dude I hate spraying shit on my plants! I just suck it up and jump in sort of speak, but would love to win this and get back to a point pre pests in the shed, the glory days im afraid!🤣 but i know I’m creating potentials for other issues also.

Thank you for this info! ive looked into them before but got lost with it, along with spraying and getting lucky with it being the correct spray to attack the mites. ill go give them a read again.

Dude how many articles on solutions describe the whole thing then warn that it's chock full of disaster if you fuck up a tiny bit?
The way a search and read through info is horrible, man! I cant stand reading entire articles, I’ll just skim stuff, read through forum posts, and research the products. Have burned things lol, and probably will continue to burn things. But as stated above in regards to fighter mites, im going to try and give them a shot! : )

Yeah well if their food supply runs out that means your problem is solved but they do stick around in the sachet which I believe contains food for them to. I had like 10 leftover packs I threw in my garage in the original package and 4 weeks later there were still live mites in there.

Neem works because its sticky not because they eat it.oil covers the little ones soo they cant move and flying ones cant fly off.

Hey did you try nutmeg in soil?

Smell makes them decide dirt is not good for babies made a difference in my home but still a few left
Good to know, thanks! I’ve heard of cayenne pepper for like ants and some pest, but I’m sure too strong like anything else and it can burn the plant lolol

I’m having a few thrips trying to make their way into the space. I bought some lady bugs but I couldn’t keep them alive lol
Then I got some pirate bugs and these sorry mofos get stuck in the resin of the bud lmaooooooo
Basil and marigold don’t work as deterenys for thrips. So I’m going back to the ol neem on top of the sool every few days until their cycle breaks. But maybe the key is a little nutmeg!! Haha
