My old man always told me saws of any type of saw with chew through flesh like they don't exist. Table saws all need that safestop option since their patent expired year's ago.
Table saws and chainsaws are the scariest. Know several guys missing digits, and limbs, from them.

Why I never had interest in forestry or carpentry.

Well I have been working on my flowers because I have been off from work for 9 weeks, going back to work in 3 weeks. Cut my fingers and two tendons cleaning a stupid glass coffee pot of all things. Fingers are still swollen and limited movement. 15 stiches later. On the bright side I can smoke every morning and i am trying to fix my screw up. I added a too many grams of grow dots this time and burned them. It is usually just fine with half strength using 35 grams in 5 gallon.

FFOF I am finding is never the same strength bag to bag. I am finding sometimes it works without issue and this time it was really hot for them. I made it worse with the grow dots. I flushed the plants twice and seemed to help but the damage is done. I am three weeks from harvest. I am going to let it run and hope for the best. I will never use FF after this grow, they lost their certification for being organic soil I found out. They are now using more chemicals sprays for their soils vs plant matter. Their FAQ is now missing any mentions of their soil being organic are completely gone.

I am going to try Purple Cow next run and have been speaking to their "hemp" specialist for pointers on using their soil. I will have to transplant the seedlings in a milder soil with cow pots so I don't stress them. Their rep says not to use any grow dots with their soil. Just water and Purple Cow Organics “Biology Bundle" after 4-6 weeks if needed. Plus its certified organic with only plant material NO chemicals added.

My interest in purely organic begins and ends with microbe compatibility. If it plays well with microbes, I don't give a shit whether or not it's organic or synthetic.

If you're using something like grow dots, you have zero control over steering your ratio and controlling EC so I wouldn't be happy using them, it's the complete opposite of my style. But they're designed for automation, and if you want an easier less time consuming experience growing weed and have it still turn out okay, that's a great way to take the headaches away. Let us know how the Purple Cow works out, but I'd check with Grow Dots for their recommendations for medium and application rate, which would be strength since you only put them in once. If you were sticking with FF, I bet Happy Frog would work better. Ocean Forest is already too hot, should carry a plant through typical veg cycle before needing anything.

Whatever your physical therapist tells you to do, do it.
I put my hand through a window pane when I was young, cut tendons, had surgery to repair, managed to undo the stitches 1 week after, but Mom did not believe me. 6 weeks later they took off the cast and I couldn't move my finger. Second surgery, they couldn't find one of the tendons even tho they cut all the way down my palm, so I have limited use. Finger looks crooked all the time, but no one notices 'cause I use my other fingers to grab it and move it to where it needs to go. Played clarinet and twirled batons, never limited me.
Damn I guess I need some moisturizer. LOL

Definitely listen to any physical therapist if you find yourself in their care. Even after you are healed, those stretches, exercises and other techniques are valuable and will help you recover quickly and prevent any reinjury in many cases.

The hand surgeon has me doing basic assisted finger movements to aid the repairs, he says he doesn't believe I will have to be cut open to fix it. He said it will be months before full movement is back but wanted me to wait 9-12 weeks before going back to commercial hvac work. I have been on company paid short term disability

ER doc took detailed photos when i was given ketamine and fentanyl to partially knock me out so they could open the wounds, clean them and stitch me up. They have to give me double the normal dose. I can see why people like fentanyl but not a fun high. Normally i can do stiches' but I was a bitch with the amount of pain from them pulling the wound open to remove the glass.

My last knee surgery the doctors gave me fentanyl. I asked him why that drug.
He explained to me that the drug takes very little amounts to work and when given intravenous once the drip stops it burns it self out very quickly and is mostly cleared from any respiratory and heart rate issues within 90 seconds.
He told me it has been the reason why doctors who specialize in putting people under have seen such a reduction in adverse pain drug reactions during surgery.

I got my thumb when I was very young, perhaps 5 or 6. My neighbors turned me loose with a razor sharp filet knife to help clean catfish. I was cutting the tail off one when my holding hand slipped down the body and under the blade on a forward stroke. I cut my thumb to the bone; from the knuckle around to the pad/print.

It was a very clean cut due to the sharp blade and would have been a cinch to sew up.... Except..... My dumbass neighbors freaked out and stuffed the cut with flour to try to slow the bleeding. At the ER they had to scrub & "irrigate" it for what seemed like hours trying to get all that gd flour out of it, before they could sew it up with like 14 sutures.

(scar is highlighted with silver sharpie)

Good times!
👍😎

Ketamine is the best pain killer hands down, imo

I was on 50 micro gm fentanyl patches for several years after my cancer surgery. I now am down to just 5mg oxys and copious amounts of weed (along with regular nerve ablations and epidural injections in my lower back)

I hate being on anything any for pain meds beside IBP 800, Military got me used to them, drink water and pop a fe IBP
Yeah, I hate being on pain meds also, but the alternative is worse for me. I have weened myself down to where I'm currently at, which I'm somewhat proud of.

IBP is horrible for your stomach, especially at high doses. I can't take it bc I'm on blood thinners...

I hated being on blood thinners. Though it did make summers more tolerable. 😆
