purplechem and peyotechem organic grow

all right here it goes 2 plants both personal chucks purplechem (dinachemxpurple afghan kush) and peyotechem (dinachemxpeyote cookies) second run with both from cuts first time around great yields and pure fire.


setup is a 2x2 tent using lumatek attis 200w at 100% in recycled organic soil. the total volume of medium is 25gal amended with ewc. the original mix had ewc and farmyard manure in pellet form and thats about it as far as nutrition goes. mix also includes some perlite, vermiculite, basaltic sand, lava stones and mostly consists of coco coir with maybe 10% peat.

this is for the most part an all water grow with drip irrigation setup to water every 2 hrs during lights on.

so this is 22nd day of flowering at this point and everything is going fine so far. i am completely out of vertical space with the peyotechem so i had to do some supercropping in the second week of flowering on two tallest branches. also did a little bit of defol yesterday to open up the lower bud sites and for better air circulation.

after defol i did a small feeding with fish fertilizer and ewc to replace what i took out.

27th day of flower or something. looking fine. topdressed some ewc yesterday. dialed down the watering as it was just too much now i am at my old schedule of 4 times 2 minutes. generally nothing but dankness.

also got a little uv experiment in my other tent. these are bluechem and blue kushxNL from seed 7th week of flower. this is a clone run not much veg so they are short and fat :)

anyway threw in a reptile uv lamp up there to see what it will do. these lumateks already has some fr in them so with the extra uv its more of a complete spectrum now.

30th day of flower must be another 40-45 days till finish if it follows the timeline of my previous grow with these clones.

almost the end of week 7 since flip with these. one or two are kinda ripening but most have zero brown pistils almost which is ridiculous tbh. bluechem and blue kushxNL crosses here. 4 of each 8 total.

35th day of flower. just topdressed with some ewc and manure. coming along nicely, some bottom leaves are getting cannibalized, buds are swelling up everyday.

found some very old test tube in the freezer with silica beads inside and had the writing “thai” on it. i think its ace seeds thai regular pollen from who knows when :) anyway hit a couple of lower popcorns to see if its still viable.

42nd day of flower. all is going well. i am thinking of no more topdressing from here on out.

60th day i guess they will come down sometime this week. looking dank.

keen eyes will also notice some bananas on the plant on the right. they appeared very recently and its just soo late in the grow that they are not a concern for me.

no it’s just a reptile bulb i attached under the light for the last 3 weeks but a diy uv setup coming soon. i’m waiting for parts atm. then i’ll build something with a much cleaner look :)

Thats cool man. I was thinking that purple hue around the edge of the Lumatek may have been added UV.

I also use UV once every few days for 5 minutes. So far so good with keeping peats and WPM at bay!!

don’t have any problems with pests or diseases but i wanted to implement uvb for its supposed quality improvement. now i got all the components ready i just have to summon the energy and do it i guess.
