I bought pot from the street from 1979 to 1985when I stated wrenching on airplanes.
Pot was 35 bucks a lid for the entire time.
6 years with no price increase.
The difference?
No interference other than a ticket for possession as even back then less than 1 oz was a $25 citation and they take your weed.
Right at the end we started to see " West Coast weed " without seeds and that was sold by the gram.
Also Ohio did the same thing it did with the lottery.
Weed sales were to be divided up but the state was supposed to use it for addiction and law enforcement.
Well as they did with the lottery every tax dollar given to the education department was reduced from general state funds.
They did not even try to hide it and never explained it.
Our media is crap and just looks away.
So the law enforcement and general fund got a big boost and the addiction treatment programs still have a waiting list.

Just to be clear the biggest negative to legal cannabis is government involvement.
It is what will cause the failure of the program.
If the decision is made to outlaw cannabis or cannabis home grow again in Ohio I have no intention of complying. They said it was ok and I put a lot of time and energy into my grow.

Yeah, our lottery was supposed to help fund schools, but we've seen increasing property taxes year after year, and now recently it jumped 30+%. That was drivin by the school systems, that the state already funds. Damn schools are worthless, ever since the state took it out of the hand of the board of teachers, and PTA. PARENT TEACHERS ASSOCIATION. I'm tired of watching my tax dollars spent on schools that do nothing, and enriching the police department for high end equipment used to generate more revenue from the people. Police are no more than tax collectors, they don't protect and serve, as much as their taught to harass and instagate, to create an arrest for $. Probable cause, for police safety, ect, ect. Mobile, judge, jury, and executioner if he feels like it. No liabilty

I just bought a 1/2oz for $20 to help suppliment my minimal supply from outdoor last summer. I used some to trade for some handyman work i needed plus some $$. I needed a new exhaust vent for the bathroom installed and a new door handle LOL.

My comment may have brushed the line, but it wasn’t partisan in substance or intent — it was a response to a meme that was already political-by-proxy (that you happen to agree with and said nothing about).

And I’ll say this plainly: the meme that kicked it off wasn’t “non-political” either. It was basically:

• “Celebrities are beneath us.”
• “They’re not citizens in the same way.”
• “They should be silent.”

That’s not “no politics.” That’s politics with a muzzle — and it’s loaded with resentment and dehumanizing language. The whole “marionettes” framing is arrogant as hell. These are human beings, not puppets put here for your or anybody else's personal entertainment.

And you’re also confused about who the commodity is. You think they’re the commodity and that you personally “own” them for the price of a ticket — or worse, for nothing — just because you like their tribe, team, or brand. You don’t seem to realize that you are the commodity. You get bought, sold, and sold out every day by the same fucking machine you think you’re standing above — the exact same way celebrities do.

Also, your opening point was a non sequitur. “I’d get fired at work for talking politics” is a workplace-policy argument — not a free-speech argument — and it doesn’t translate cleanly to public figures anyway. Celebrities get punished constantly: sponsors drop them, contracts vanish, tours get boycotted, careers stall, and millions of people hate them on principle. So let’s not pretend they get some magical exemption from consequences.

My point was simpler: entertainers are still people. Citizens. They don’t lose their right to speak just because they sing, act, or throw a football for a living. There is no “unless you’re famous” footnote.

And if someone doesn’t like what an entertainer says, the solution is easy: don’t watch, don’t listen, don’t buy tickets, don’t stream them. Nobody is being held hostage by a microphone or a football. Attention is optional.

And as for blaming celebrities for “what’s wrong with society” — it’s lazy. They’re an easy target. Most of them aren’t built for conflict, and they’re not out here looking for fights. That puts them at an automatic disadvantage in these pile-ons right out of the gate.

So that leaves us with a high per capital school enrollment allowing taxes on property to skyrocket due to a large percentage has kids knows kids wants kids keeps voting for the now bloated school taxes.
Just paid 6 month assement.
Renting my own property for 6 months cost $2600
1780 is 2 separate school issues.

They say abolishing prop tax will increase sales tax by 20-30%. How about a 10% decrease in state government, and payrolls and entitlements, their the ones abusing the system, not us. We have to tighten our belts and juggle our money, but they won't allocate funds from something not being used, for something that needs funding. Just increase taxes.
There's tons of $ that can be used to off set this property tax BS. that's just sitting there, marked for some project to maybe come along.



Add up what you'll pay in prop tax in comparison to the value of home when purchased at a 30 yr loan.

Mines been paid for for several year's, but I will have paid taxes for my house equaling almost twice or more than the amount I paid for it outright, by the time I die. Then they'll take it if I have to go into hospice care....not to my kids

It's all a ratchet, nobody owns shit.
