We just breast them!
We only do that with the smaller quail and dove.

You don’t worry about that here, old timer! We just breast them! And as usual, you have to undercook them! Like any wild game! Good slicing the breast up into medallions and rolling them in seasoned flour and deep frying them! My 84-year-old neighbor stopped by to drink a beer and tell lies!
That's how I ate ducks and geese.
Kinda like liver n onions

Hold on to that puppy!
I am. It’s in really good shape. Not mint condition by any means but not all banged up and rusty. A also have a side by side 12 gage double trigger with external right and left side hammers. It’s in rough shape though. I’m pretty sure my grandpa made the stock that is on it. Pretty sure it’s not original.

It’s not a shotgun but I inherited my dads Winchester wcf 30 which I’m 100% sure he got from his dad and I’m 90% sure he go from his dad. 1894 lever action. Before they were named 30/30
I’ve got its cousin an 1894 Winchester 25-35, lever action (same action as yours) octagonal barrel, buckhorn sights! It belonged to my grandfathers great uncle. They’re both great guns, mine is hard to find ammo for. Impossible to find ammo in copper. I deer hunted with that gun for many years.

That’s too cool.

Still prefer my mod 1897 trench sweeper 😆
I had one of those, but I gave it to my brother! You have to be careful with them as they were made to shoot paper, shotgun shells! And no choke tubes for those! You have to change the entire barrel and forestock assembly! I tracked the serial number and it was made in 1915! Field grade! They made millions of them so they’re worth about 500 bucks! Also have a 1935 Winchester model 69 22! Whoever ordered it out of the monkey wards catalog must’ve checked all the boxes! Adjustable peep site and a hooded ramp site upfront!

Looked it up. It’s a j. Steven’s A & T model 225. Made between 1906 and 1910. So most likely another from my great grandfather goes for $50-$150 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, you’re not gonna get rich off of a lot of these old guns!😁 I’ve got a Stevens 12 gauge! Modern one! About the cheapest 12 gauge I could find! Hasn’t blown up yet! Lol!

lol. I probably have about 40 riffles and shotguns. Most expensive ones I own are probably my rugers and there probably $700-$1200 new in box (mine aren’t new in box) with the scopes. The rest I’m willing to bet aren’t more than a couple hundred bucks. Several I only keep because they were handed down generations ago to generation and it will probably just continue that way. Some are simple single shot .22s my dads over under 12 gae which really is a nice gun. 308 with oak leaf engraving. My grandmothers 300 savage. Some utility rifles like my .17 cal I used for putting pigs down when I was butchering pigs, model 7 .243 which I really like for a brush gun. things like that.
