They are plants! They’re gonna do better with some kind of light! Doesn’t have to be much with a seedling! Even a lightbulb over it will be better than nothing! Or a windowsill.
That was my thought and when i saw the no light thing i immediately thought wtf. It didnt make sense to me. Thats why I came here...or if practices changed
Yeah, most of this stuff is just common sense! A lot of people seem to have trouble starting plants! But it gets easier with experience! Not that it is very hard to begin with.
I don’t grow indoors other than to get the ball rolling and get them ready to go outside! We all have to do that.

Lol figured one to get a feel for it...also smaller taste of electrical cost... was unsure of viability of the first seed(didnt see progression) so I started a second then the first popped. I live in the state with the second highest electrical rates in the country behind Hawaii! But plenty of free sunshine! You just have to grow enough to get you through the winter! I’m out on the West Coast! And I’m old and relatively poor so outdoors it is!
Agreed. Im typically cheap but i had no way to start indoors and keep them from the kids. Outside is easier so I needed a way to start. I live in upstate ny so seasons are short...for photos at least. But i prefer outdoors. Something about being outside. Well, you should get autos in easy! You just have to grow a shit load of them to get you through the winter! Nothing better than getting up close and personal with mother nature! She will let you know when you’re fucking up and not listening!
I dont think ill need to grow a shit load of them lol. My tolerance isnt what it used to be lol. Took a 10+ years haitus from smoking...in part legality but mostly due to work. But im not in those fields anymore plus ny is legal now. So I use it to supplement meds for ptsd. Usually one bowl and im wrecked lol. If i did my estimate correct i only need about 10 ounces a year. I plan on also growing a photo outside with a couple more autos outside as well come spring time. My plan is to grow enough to get me from pretty much now to next spring/summer harvest in 2027.
