One of the main mistakes most beginner growers make is over watering. It can be a difficult ballance. One thing to help is to learn the weight of your pot. Literally lift the pot when totally dry. Learn how that feels. Before watering, lift the pot. Allow dryback before watering again. Over watering stunts growth and can actually kill a plant. Not watering enough, plants can dry out and wilt. While you don't want either over watering is way worse.

Good luck😉
Oh f*ck yeah, i hate watering with a passion. I see that spider farmer has the watering pots, with the rope. i really want them! Maybe next time i've got some budget for them. But i'm als already looking for another tent for drying and faster rounds.

I know the weighing trick, but because i give them so little water, there is not much difference in weight.
When the light comes on i'll have another look at them, and then decide if i give them water today or i need to wait another day.

My goal is to get around 400 grams per round, is that realistic ?

Goals are awesome, BUT reality always rears it's ugly head. I can't tell you how many times I've done the math and almost every time something got in the way. I'm outside and have had to learn how to control bugs, not eradicate them as that's impossible without making the plant poisonous. I have gophers

that have taken their share. I've even named a strain Gopher because a gopher bit off my best Brutus OG x Chemdog cross. Mice and rats LOVE ❤️ seedlings🤬 And on top of all that there's my lazy ass. I've learned not to get my hopes up and spend more time studying and learning how to grow and cure better.

Enjoy the grows and learn from them. Keep studying and read how others have been successful and adjust that knowledge to what you're doing. Don't worry how much you'll get from this or that plant(s) or grows, problems will arise and kick you in the ass, just the way it is. Enjoy the journey and never stop learning😉

Based on my inability to grow melons without a cage during sprout there is no where I could grow from seedlings on the property.
Birds.......

Thanks for new picture.
Yeah you see much better.
You observed that the plants reacted good to more water.
That is how you do it.
Change one thing at a time if possible so you better know what made the difference.
Now the roots for sure have filled the pot and personally i wouldn't worry at all about over watering.

Keep in mind that most of the well meaning and helpful people but many only know what they got told from others, so they havn't learned from their own experience. That goes for most learning in life.

I'd say from now on when you get all these advisces, you ask what medie and how people grow.
This to prevent you for being confused .

Your plants looks fine and there is nothing to be afraid off.
You should not be afraid to make mistakes. You should be afraid not to learn from them, because you gonna make mistakes.

Thank you,

But no worries, we will get them done 🤪

Waiting for harvest and smoking is the hardest part!

For
It would be a lot of work making a melen patch.
I can get about 100 Indiana or a hybrid cantaloupes with just a few plants but it would require a pH change as the last thing there were beans.
My days of growing a big garden are done.
😞
I never had a big garden, big enough for me, though. Wife hardly eats vegetables. She didn't at all, till married.
I'd have rather grown weed..now I can.!!
Gonna give a go this year at starting some marigolds seedlings for placing in the garden with the girls.

Listen here my friend.
Over watering is a thing.
Just not as common as one should think.

In your case with fabric pots.
In my case with 10 cm 2 inch drainage in the bottom.
We do this to prevent over watering. Giving the roots some air.
When the roots fills the pot it also gets harder to over water.

More than half of my problems came from under watering.
And i never changed it because of advisces.
The lack of progress made me loose my motivation and i stopped growing for some years.

Now i got the under watering better. So NOW i can start focusing on other things like nutrients and light, carefully taking advice from from people with the experience but also keeping in mind that i maybe didn't explain my situation well enough.

edith: oh yeah about the expectations. As other have mentioned. Don't get them to high, to prevent disappointment.

Last year was my first grow (outdoors). Yeah, it's a long wait. I had a path worn in the grass around the garden from pacing back n forth in anticipation.
For me, it's about prepping for torrential rains. So I typically plant on mounds, like u do, mellons.

I was very surprised at how much these things can drink. I could've watered every day, but kept it at every other, during the summer
I feared I might cause root rot. I learned from it.
My expectations on harvest was in my ball park of a pound each, but now I know I could've done a bit better. Lesson curve getting straighter, thanks to folks here, and their diaries.
Looking forward to seeing your progress thru the grow.

Ok how are you thinking you would like to grow?
6 plants can fill your tent however you do.

If you put net? I don't know i havn't tried but the acces to the plant is more limited.

If you top then for example you can get a pretty even high in the tent with some training.

But there are tons of ways to grow so pick one you could imagine fits you.
Think a little about it.

My only advice is maybe start something not to complicated.
Like don't learn driving i a F1 racer. Just an idea
Then try something new next time maybe. Or how about a mix like one defoil one topped or what ever you would like to try

I really don't know. Only thing that matters is a nice yield and a good tasting smoke. And would be nice if it doesnt take to long.
I never tried topping or scrogging. But i orderd a scrog net.
I dont want to make it complicated 🤪 but i'm willing to try something new, for sure if it increase yield.

Acces is a thing, i'm in a basement room, not to big, so i don't have acces to all the openings in the tent.

So right now i'm almost ready to top the lady's ?
Thnx guys! Over 3 hours light goes on again, so picture time.

I have topped most of my plants including autos. I top once enough stems have sprouted and then use fixtures and green wire to pull the node stems away from the main stem. I keep pulling them until I flip to flower or the autos start to flower. This allows long bud runs to develop. I used this technique to train my last auto runs but it was for THIS run that I practiced this technique.
I am going to break the dominance feature of the main stem with a manifold.
This is done by toping when the plant reaches node 6 but bobbing back to node 2 or 3. Then topping and keeping the stems cleared while building out the growth.

You pull out the stems and allow them to turn up and grow another 3 nodes and top with 2 nodes showing. You then pull those stems out and after you get enough growth you allow the stems to turn up and run upwards.

This gives you 8 cola plants. You can top the plants again at this point and build another level for 16 colas.
This stops the dominance of the main stem and allows the nutrition to spread out evenly.
I practiced this on the autos to get an idea on timing. I have a pretty good sense of how you can make this plant go where you want and produce well. This part of the growing comes easy cause the same type of situation for tomatoes. Just some simple training you can double tomato output and the same thing works on pot.
My problem has been nutrition and actually using a cannabis feed chart will/should fix this part of my grow.

The goal.
