Hello again!

Im struggling to control my humidity. Im using a dripper tray filled with water and spritzing the tent walls with a spray bottle which is helping keep the humidity more consistent. But any time i try to turn on my in line fan(4 inch for 3x3x6) it causes my tent humidity to drop down to 40% or less. I and waiting for a humidifier from vivosun to arrive(none of the stores near me had any humidifiers in store). Im currently on week two of a two pot auto grow. To keep the humidity up, is it absolutely necessary to have the in line fan on? I do have an 8 inch turbo fan in the tent creating a bit of movement inside the tent.

Thanks all

Ok .. first what humidifier did you get , not the vivosun. I got the GE 50L .i use that for the lung room.
Next if you having issues with your hack you should get a humidifier with a controller and exhaust , you need heater as well but can get by with out it

Set up:
Your tent should have multi holes anywhere top mid and bottom, I feel that if RH% drops and heat rises. I went with rh% At the bottom with AC at the bottom, on one side it pushes cold air on the other it sucks out RH , had to modify the tent with extra hole , heat pipes in at the bottom as well..

When I first popped, didn’t know the hacks for RH . Failed miserably. Had to clone to save the grow.
There’s nothing like being equipped with proper gear, get your gear right because there’s a lot more you going to need to study and you going to have more questions.

Question #1
What are you growing In And why?

Good luck

I have a personal 400w space heater in there which hasn't caused the tent to waver from the range of 70-75. When it came to a humidifier i have a honeywell one but i found out with this adventure that it didnt work anymore šŸ™ƒ so right now im using a dripper tray with water to keep the humidity up. It seems like the longer i do this method the steadier it stays.

Getting your lung room to the proper Rh is the easiest, then open a vent on the bottom. Only reason to then turn on the inline is to stabilize the inside if it gets a bit out of whack.

I went and opened up a small corner of a vent on my tent...couple square inches. Right next to the turbofan. Hopefully that wont cause the parameters to crash(meaning opened too much)

Thank you

I finally got an arrival date for two of the 3 things i ordered from vivosun which includes the humidifier of mondaybthe 9th. That shoukd make things easier.

AeroStream H05 Intelligent Wi-Fi Humidifier, 1.32 Gal / 5 L Humidifier with Temp & Humidity Probe, Smart Remote Control, Designed for Growers https://share.google/E7VZRTKcYZgclKDL1

This is the humidifier I ordered. Also bought presale a grow hub to help with parameters and a trellis net for when they're older

Next question is how many plants in the tent ..
are you going to learn gear on the fly, with gear there’s a learning curve, spring and summer are arriving soon so heat in veg shouldn’t be an issue.

Start looking at flower,

You will need circ fans top and bottom
Top for moving hot air around
Bottom for moving RH around
Exhaust as needed
Vent as needed

But you will need a lung room ge 50l works good for me but had to remove the pump spigot for draining into bucket

lol it is an adventure setting up but once done the next problem is learning the gear efficiently.

Make sure to calibrate controller, if they come calibrated fine.
But if you check at a minimum and make and adjustments it will be good for all your grows.
Calibrate or check

I have 2 seedlings right now in there. I know as they get bigger itll get easier but right now its a struggle. Lol

Get a bucket of water and point a clip fan downwards into it, it should get you up in the 60's pretty quickly.

I literally had got in on monday a smart humidifier. šŸ˜…no worrying(except humidifier water level) anymore. My overall parameters have stabilized.
