I'm growing my first auto. Bruce Banner from ILGM in recycled soil and growing in a DIY grow box.
The plant is in week 2 of flower. I've had to train it gently since week 2-3 and on so it will stay low and have plenty open space for flower growth.
I'm using a 100 watt grow light. So far I think it's going well but the ppfd was too low for flowering. I moved the light 6" closer to the plant but I then thought it was too much change for a single day. I adjusted the height the next day and the photo was taken the same day. No light burn so maybe I moved the light up fast enough to prevent it getting burned? How much, and how fast, can I lower the light?
Thanks

Well, I’ve never used 100 W in flower is it’s not enough as you know.

18” away is the minimum I’d use.
Normally however a 100w is a different ball game.

How close have you had it and what is it at now? To be honest, I don’t think moving the light closer is a replacement for getting a better bulb.

Someone might be able to help you more so bumper de bump

Btw clean up the what the plants are sitting on it’s kinda important to have a clean growing environment

Also you need a fan with all that dust hanging around I wouldn’t think you have one alou I could be wrong & please don’t take that personally you asked & im just trying to help on what I can see

I'm going to get a fan going today.
Personally I don't subscribe to everything being super clean but that's just me. If I ever had an issue arise due to cleanliness I'd be concerned but dust? This box is within my shop space and my shop gets plenty funked up as work gets done. If I kill my plant(s) die from the environment I provide then I don't want to hang around with them anyway 😁.
Plus I put masks on my plants. This way I KNOW they won't come down with anything.

Given the light is 100 watt it's good you keep the plants a bit low as you do.

I'm not into the sterile thing. I mean parts of my fertilizer contain shit so it's not even a possibility. And dirt is mostly shit too. It's not like we do lab meristem breeding or things like that.
But of course we don't want it to be too moldy.
