Update on the weird derp seedling. As a refresher, it grew two real wonky club leaves at first real node and they just fell off. I had to research what was going on and best fit was a possible meristem reboot because growth wasn't viable.

Looks like that's what's going on. New growth coming in
It looks brown but it's not necrotic. It appears to be anthocyanins driving the brown color. It might still fail, but I gotta say this is kind of cool watching this thing clean try and straighten itself out before it hits the "Go" button.

Well fuck me. I found seeds in at least three of my plants. I guess the hermie I found earlier in flower spooged. There’s no nanners or balls that I have found on them. So either the hermie or someone on my area has males. There doesn’t seem to be many so far. I checked multiple buds that have none and others have mature beans. Pisses me off. Almost want to throw in the towel for this grow. I have a few more weeks or days on some of these. The nlx hashplant is far from being done. I am not going to cull em but I am disappointed for certain. The buds are getting heavy and breaking their stems on their own.

All the Ca ions in your water are available to the plant until it evaporates and forms calcium carbonate. You should never use additional Ca in your grows with that tap water.

I use hard water too, 350 ish. Besides cleaning the scale off equipment it's not a problem in hydro if you're feeding enough K and Mg. Something to keep in mind though when you're dosing nutrients or troubleshooting problems.

If you don't want to spend the dough on a RO machine, there's Zero Water filters which I have and work great for cheap. When I started I was using half and half with tap but I eventually got lazy and stopped. So far no ill effects.

I have this one. Does exactly what it says.

Zerowater 32 Cup Ready Read Water Filtration Dispenser : Target https://share.google/PCFAYwf6Y7xGqTmkN

Edited to clarify: it's not a problem in my hydro setup, but in soil 440 ppm tap water is going to cause salt buildup problems fast.
It’s says the filter only lasts 15 gallons. My barber also works for the water company and he told me they switched to chloramine from chlorine. I am in the market now. I think my fridge filter has a 50 gallon lifecycle. It almost looks like paying the 25 cents a gallon a gallon for ro water has a better bang for your buck. We have this new place called 7 cent water. My lady wanted to go there and I said absolutely not. I have no idea what they are using whether it’s r.o or filter but there’s no way I am trying it out with my pets or plants.

When I mixed it with my tap water I was using 2 gal a week. That's about 2 months a filter. Plus, they recommend the change when the results reach 6 ppm. That's still really good for me so I didn't exactly follow the manufacturers instructions and it works great. You can definitely do 30 gallons before changing filters.

It doesn't make sense to me that grow lights advertise pulling more and more power. They should pull LESS power for more efficiency like everything else.
Not a whole lot left for efficiency.
Leds are 70-90 % efficient with grow lights being at the top end.
I think the next generation will have the ability to change power on whole sections of the light to allow a grower to set up a " virtual canopy " with a well balanced level light energy on the whole top of the grow.

Maybe @PlumberSoCal2 stayed up to catch those scroundrels who stole his plants!!!
Or....... Too many coffees with oil 🤣
Camera is up with a red blinking light anouncing its watchful eye. I've got blackberries propagating I'm going to plant along the fence line which will help keep people out😉

I had a brownie before bed and was a bit fuzzy this morning at 1 when we woke up. We're on the same pee schedule🤣
