Another question: If I'm trying to tell sex, can I put the clones into 12/12 right away? Before seeing the roots?

As for the 12/12 clone, in water....
I've tried it once for shits and giggles, and I gotta tell you, she showed her sex...
But I've also gotta say, it could have been because it was close to showing anyhow.....??...
I can not verify that it does indeed work, but from the many I've read about, it does work....
@jadins_journey has a good point with the stress....
Although, I've been known to defol, prune, transplant, and flip in the same day.....

I often use just a prepped clone cut in a cup of tap water.
I do this to find sex or root clones taken in flower. Its a little slower rooting but if ya add a plug it roots faster.
If its just a small clip im trying to sex I dont worry about a plug. Im prob going to throw away the cut anyway once i determine sex unless I wanna keep it for some reason it will root.

I'm not sure if @gmonster714 uses anything in their cloning water, but I've always used Superthrive for all of my cuts/clones.....
1 drop Superthrive in a solo
Fill solo with plain water
Disperse full Superthived solo into many other solos for cuts/clones....
There are many different ways to clone...
Don't be afraid to try different ways....
To me, the most important part about cloning is misting the leaves when I finish transplanting......

Nay man its straight tap water. I love them plugs like the rapid rooters. I bought some off brand ones at the shop.
They root fine in a cup of water but the lil plugs seem to help. I use rockwool cubes at times too. I just keep them moist. I need some capillary mats..lol
No domes, no special formulas, sometimes not even hormone gel. Cannabis is pretty tough.

That's what I thought, but I've been spraying the same everything for a while now....
Not doubting the spray is the culprit, but I think plants before this would've showed.....

We're kinda still adjusting.....which led me to believe that I locked out my nutes from mixing in the wrong order....
Soon to be teacher coming soonish....

ya i’ve said before that i think or im pretty sure that the mystery plant 1 female before pollination was Harlequin a high cbd strain i’m guessing this as the buds and smell and taste reminds me of that, and when i made a small chunk of hash from that mystery 1 female after collecting the seeds has pretty much the same taste as the mystery 1 hash i just made from the seeds of that cross, the male is totally unknown,. when i made a small chunk of hash after collecting the seeds from the mystery 2 plant that hash had a great taste and buzz,.
so id say the mystery #2 is probably what your going to like more,.
my mystery 2 last year outdoor flowered early and was a mess so this year ill have one for sure to make a nice chunk of hash from it,..
and the age of those seeds are 20yrs up to 5yrs ago,.
again guessing but when the mystery plot was growing the male to me kinda looked like wild thailand at least that’s what i kept thinking,..
also there was a chance that the 16ft?? Kumaoni could have also pollinated the 2 mystery females,..

I've only grown a couple of um out, and even then not ambered....
But I've gotta tell ya, the Mystery Plant #1 is definitely mysterious......
The one I pollinated turned out pretty nice, yet different than the one before....
This one reminds me of a Northern Lights.....
....The other had a oil/gas/skunk smell, kinda like a funky stink.....
You got me wondering about the #2s though........
