13" tall, 7" wide, 11" long = 4.3 US gals wet. or 3.7 gals dry. So I am sure with overfilling you can get 4 gallons of dirt in this one shopping bag.

Now as far as wicking and any capillary action this Walmart is the only one that is dry out of the three. Does that mean it has a better capillary action, no, it could mean it's better at repelling moisture and doesn't absorb it as easily.

Next test, the Balloon test to see which would resist air flow more.

And folks, don't think I am advocating ditching your beloved grow bags for Wal Mart shopping bags. I'm just a curious sort.

After you measure, plant seeds in it so we can follow along 🙃
Nah, said that to begin with.

Oh the fun of regs.
All 5 of the Chemdog X Hash plant are above ground. 3 doing fine, 1 has rabbit in it, ( early LST ) and 1 moving slow, as last to show.

The Black skunk X Hash plant is all over the place .
1 rotted seed.... believe was too deep in soil, died before it surfaced.
Rest are different heights, one just made it up this morning. (3rd from top)

All needed assistance with helmet head

Spring in VA is crazy. 80s the past 3 days and today 30s and 1" of snow. Oh well, things are rolling on. Got the new greenhouse up and uncovered my outdoor soil. Probably leave it uncovered unless expecting heavy rain. Also planted 2 cherry trees in my front yard, looking forward to fresh cherries but it will be a couple years till they produce. This gardening hobby sure does teach you patience. The Laos landraces are doing ok. The one from the first batch was struggling a little so i transplanted it today into my regular living soil so it should perk up. 1 from the second batch seems to have stalled but the others look good so far. Everyone else will probably be transplanted next week and then go straight to 12/12 to try to keep them at a manageable size. Might make it harder to take clones but oh well. Probably be starting tomato seeds soon, can't wait for spring to get here in full force.

Got 10 inches of snow overnight and blowing like a sumbitch. Flipped the girls to 12/12 this morning. Couple godfathers and a permanent marker. The permanent is a handful to grow in a tent really likes to stretch . Pics of my first grow in the dry tent
