That's my understanding of it as well.
Im not sure where you heard that but it's its causing mass panic in the industry and lots of seed producers are shutting their doors. You will no longer be able to source them through legal means after November and anyone telling you otherwise is wrong or unaware of the scope of this change in the law. Doesnt mean you can't get them after that date... they were getting sold plenty before the laws became more favorable but it wont be so cut and dry as just browsing a website and charging your cc. It's back to the shadows for breeders unfortunately

The new laws are focused on getting rid of the delta 8 gas station fake weed that people shouldn't be smoking anyway. Will not effect seed availability from legit sources. We'll see come November but I for one am not worried.

Not worried either. Buy from across the pond and pay by crypto with stealth shipping.

0.3% not 3%... and that is on the grown out plant not just the seed. With type I seeds these days typically being 20%+ that basically throws the majority of them under the ban outside maybe some medicinal hemp type seeds that dont have any thc
So any seed at 0.3 % or under will still be at least 20 % thc??????

Im not taking any chances i am gonna stock up and store as many seeds as possible
Now to throw a wrench in all this how long can you store male pollen for ?????

No...u need to read your state laws and how they apply.

Ohio:
No edibles, drinks, infused, above 0.03% ( This is what their after )
It's all about..."The children" their human shield used for many things, political. (As kids..didn't we figure out how to get our fix) They don't want them in grocery stores, gas stations, drive thru's, smoke shops, ect. So what makes me mad about it all, is why they don't just make those high concentrates n such available only thru dispo"s. Like state liquor stores that carry the good stuff..80proof and up. Your only finding 40 proof or less at the other places....right.? And they get carded there anyhow. It's the stores responsibility.

No concentrates above 70%. (resin/dabbs ect) used to be 90%∆

Flower can't exceed 33.5%

Seed is less than the .03% stipulated. So their legal.

I'm still allowed 12 plants per 2 person 21+ household

Ask yourself this....if your allowed to grow it, seed can't be illegal.

Like them saying...yes, u can own and drive your car...but the fuel for it is illegal.

But hey....breeders are loving it. Sales are up.!!! Fresh seeds being made every day. That's good 👍

I'm thinking those that are folding are those not meeting regulations, or can't afford to be. There will always be seed....😌

We just smiled and waved, while they drove away.... sitting there on that sack of seed. 😆

Some y'all know where that line came from.

the way the legislation is written, the seed content is irrelevant... if the end result plant is over .3% thc it is illegal. Which is a massively flawed metric for a variety of reasons, but it absolutely wrecks the breeder industry as is.

This for sure seems very much pushed through by the alcohol lobby to combat the rising popularity of THC beverages encroaching on the booze industry.

But my understanding is you are missing some critical details... they are fundamentally redefining what constitutes "hemp" and THC potential containing cannabis seeds now fall outside that category where before they were considered under the umbrella of hemp and fit under the 2018 laws loophole which made the sale of such seeds totally fine... Meaning after the law goes into effect selling/shipping cannabis seeds across state lines is federally illegal... hence the hysteria about the change because after this goes into effect sending such seeds across state lines is technically felony drug trafficking

Not at all an expert here but from some videos online a critical piece is to dry the pollen well before refrigeration in order to get it to last longer. It doesnt hold up well at all with any sort of moisture.

You can buy it online and store it like seeds

The alcohol groups are some of the largest investors in the cannabis world....to be honest.

Seeds fall well below the .03% THC mandate. That's why there still legal

So why do they let us grow, then. If they tell us the THC of flower cannot exceed 33.5 %, resin at 70%, edibles n drinks .03 %.
Put the bong down and study their BS amendment thoroughly.

The biggest bunch of bullshit about it, is they only gave us a small window of time to get all the signatures needed to repell their attack against us, that we really didn't know what we were doing when we voted in legalization.

God damn greedy government is all it is. They see $, their gonna get the majority of it. Just look at history.....penny saved is a penny earned....till the IRS finds out about it...they want their third of it, state wants it's third of what's left. .03% is your profit....get it.! 🤣🤣🤣

Never heard of the sand thing.
My thinking around it is that the sand insulates against temperature fluctuations, keeps the seeds dry and keeps light out 🤷 we do that with some vegetables where I come from too. A stable, cool environment

Some amount of light is fine for storing seeds, btw. It's not an all-or-nothing kind of thing. You want to avoid bright light, and you want to limit light exposure length. The inside of a refrigerator is actually quite dark when the door isn't open.

We store our onions and potatoes in sand in the pantry.
