One of the meds I was on from 1st attack caused me to become diabetic, didn't know until my 2nd attack, and had put on a lot of weight in 5 years, lost my teeth because of it, too.

Lost 100#, was taken off insulin in less than 90 days, and stopped taking all meds for diabetes myself.
Blood tests are always good, I can and do eat sweets and things I did before the diagnosis. And they keep saying....once your diabetic, your always diabetic. BS. Your drugs induced it, I was just lucky enough it was caught before more damage was done. Fuckers.!!

Hell, they had me on 7 different meds for my blood pressure, I've eliminated 3 of um.

Hey growers you know what day it is today? It's the Equinox!

That means I have to flip at least one plant today. Catholics bow and make a crucifix gesture when they sit at a pew. That's my version of that. I flip a plant at the four turns of the Sun as a show of respect and reverence.

The first thing you need to do is figure out what containers you'll be using. There are baskets that will fit into small lid canning jars. You can wrap the jars with foil to keep the light out.

I use 2 & 2.5 ltr soda bottles and 2 oz solo cups

I use 1" rockwool cubes for clones and I add aquarium gravel to add some weight to the pots.

Here's a primer on Kratky

I use to watch all her videos.

To make this even easier, and I'll give a couple a try later today, is to take your cut(s) dip into cloning liquid or powder and place them into the rockwool, place that into a basket and place that into your Kratky bottle with nute water. I use 1/4 strength. The water level should be about a 1/4 inch over the bottom of the net pot so the rockwool will stay wet. Check every few days or the cutting will dry out. Once you see roots growing allow the water to evaporate. Every 2 weeks I replace the water with fresh nute water but only to the level I found it. Too much water will drown the plant.

Keep the cut(s) humid until rooted. Usually takes about 10-20 days to show roots depending on conditions.

I'm keeping moms in Kratky these days and they take up very little room compared to a full size plant that keeps taking up more and more space.

After almost 6 months I have a couple not doing well

The one on the left is flowering so I've allowed it to dry out. The other 2 got flooded from the rain and downed. A small portion of my greenhouse roof pulled away and allowed rain water to enter. Not a big deal as i did get several months of available cuts. And they all did well throughout the winter.

I have to go look at a water heater today but later I'll take some cuts😉

A few thoughts: If your cloning method works well use it and then transfer to Kratky.

Rockwood and coco peat will work as a substrate but avoid soil.

Adding aquarium gravel will help keep the plant from leaning as it gets bigger.

Solo cups and aquarium gravel I find at Dollar stores and are cheap.

2 Ltrs seem to be about best. A qt jar is a bit small and makes it difficult to maintain as roots will fill the jar quick and more nute water will need to be added without drowning the plant. A difficult bbalance. Using bottles larger 2 ltrs and the plants can get larger defeating the idea of a smaller footprint, especially if you keep them in a grow tent.

Saw this online and I couldn't resist! Was anyone else addicted to this in the arcade version? We had one in my local bar that I spent way too much time on.
