We transplanted the AK-47 to final pots. I'm gonna forgo the usual top dressing this round and save it for the flip. Last round we had a touch of nitrogen toxicity, And I believe these AK are light to medium feeders, gonna have to double check that. but there is PLENTY of food left over from the last grow. Here we go... AK-47 is ON.

There are 2 Blood Haze's from HYP3RIDS.....I grew the Pure Haze....I am growing the Cuban Black Haze "El Squato"....this spring.

I have three packs from them, three or two, grabbed them a few years back, not sure what they are, I just asked them to send me whatever, I think that Peach Limon is a Mexican Landrace

3 plants maybe 150g dry. Just grow small plants


And you remember me mention "Leca" for drain in soil, they call them clay peppeles.

Hell, I'd jar 'em like that when they are dry. I trim them when I smoke them. They look gorgeous.

I just bought clay pebbles for my aircubes by Growace ...gonna give that a try this year.

I put them in the buckets....then dont have anything to do till harvest. We will see what contact i will have with new system. Got the system from Growace...5 gallons each times 6... alot of clay pebbles.

If you’re curious about the “vibe” and the history behind that conversation, it helps to know that Simon Smit is essentially the “Biology Teacher” of the cannabis world.

He’s one of the few legendary breeders from the 90s Amsterdam scene who actually has a formal background in biology, which is why the host in the video treats him with so much respect.

The “Serious” Philosophy​

What they were touching on in the video—and what Simon is famous for—is his “Quality over Quantity” rule:

• The 30-Year Rule: Most seed banks today release 50+ strains in a single year. Simon has only released about 20 strains in 30 years.
• The “Copycat” Struggle: He mentioned fighting to protect the AK-47 name. Because he didn’t “patent” it in the traditional sense early on, hundreds of other companies sell their own “AK-47,” but in the video, he’s basically saying, “If it’s not from me, it’s just a name on a bag.”

Why the interview happened now​

The timing of this video (2024/2025) is a big deal because of German Legalization.

• For decades, Simon’s seeds were legendary but “underground.”
• Now that Germany has legalized home growing (3 plants), the host was picking his brain to give new German growers the “Gold Standard” advice from a man who has been doing this since it was a crime everywhere.

Fun Fact: The Name “AK-47”​

A lot of people think the name is about violence, but as Simon hinted in the transcript, it was a joke from the 90s. In the Amsterdam coffee shops back then, his version was so much stronger than everything else that people were literally falling off their stools. He called it the “One Hit Wonder”—the name was just a metaphor for its “stopping power.”
