Hi guys,

This is my first post and also my second try growing indoors, last year it was mostly try and error experimenting with unknown seed that I find in my monthly "shopping". I live in Mexico and nowadays it has become quite hard to get ahold of good quality buds and trying to find feminize seeds in the market is quite impossible therefore I ordered 3 different strains from Spain, northern lights, cali skunk and skunk #1. My first go with each of these strains was a complete failure and the seedlings died after sprouting. Being as stubborn as I am I decided to try again with only northern lights and apparently I didn't learned from my mistakes and I started the seed in a big pot instead of going from small to large. The seedling sprouted but it was stunned for about a month with no grow at all (over watering was the issue). I had my light in the 18/6 schedule and followed the instructions included with the LED lamp a Spider farmer SF1000 100 watts, this was back in December 2025 and since the Mexican winter is really like autumn I decided to place this seedling on my rooftop, it was way too small for my neighbors to spot it and call the authorities on me. After one month on the roof the seedling started to grow a little just to about 5 nodes and also changed naturally from veg to flowering. When I noticed that the plant was pretty much coming back to life I placed it back in my growing tent and the reveg process started, at this point I decided to do some plant training and I tied the top to the pot and about a week later I topped the last node. Guys I do feel excited to see the plant thrive after going through so much struggle and that's why I wanted to share the experience with all of you. The reveg process was kinda slow since I placed the plant back in the tent (18/6 light schedule) in January and I started to see normal leaves coming out in the middle of February, I took this date as a starting date for the veg cycle and this would be the third week in veg. I am planning on flipping the light to bloom in 2 weeks at the end of March. What do you guys think?
I also share with you the specs from my indoor growing space.
Spider farmer SF1000 100 watts.
Cheap grow tent bought from temu 2x2.
Cheap humidifier also from temu.
No AC or cooling.
No fan.
Digital thermometer with humidity reader.
And that's it.

Thank you guys.

Hey guys,

I wanted to share the progress, today is the first day of the second week of flowering and the little girl is looking healthy. I did a little bit of defoliation today to get a better air circulation.

Cheers guys.

Hey guys,

I wanted to share the second day of week 3 into flowering, the buds are developing and I can also see a good amount of trichromes forming. Overall the plant looks happy and healthy. I was planning on doing some lollipopping but since the plant is very short I don't really think it would be a good idea, I don't know what you think guys. On the other hand my project has changed and since 5 days I left the male (second pic) polinice the female northern lights in order to get as many seeds as possible. The reason is that here in Mexico is very hard to get seeds and the experience that I have with bag seeds ia not very positive at all, I do believe that mixing this two will be a better way at least to know with certainty one of the parents, the northern lights. The male came also from a bag seed and I must say that is a very healthy male, quite short and easy to train and squeezing the stem I got a quite strong smell of citrus, the male got some lollipopping done last week and is looking good. Do you guys think that with 5 days of pollination will be enough or should I leave the male a little longer.

Cheers guys and thank you for reading

My daughter is married to a Mayan😎 just throwing that out there. Anyhow, You know once all that pollen get released in your tent you'll need to really scrub it down cause it will mess up your next grows the other fems will get seeds. It's too late now but i would of cut off a branch and dusted the plant with it and you need to do it several days. I wish you luck in this adventure. Love your country🥰

Thank you very much for the advice!! I really appreciate it. Noted about the future grows in the tent regarding the pollen, although I read in several websites that only after 2 days of the pollen being released is no longer viable anyways cleanliness comes first. Interesting reading about your daughter, I was married for 10 years to a German gal so I guess that love knows no boundaries. Thank you again.

Hi guys,

Here is the update day 1 of week number 4. The unknown male is out of the tent since a couple of days and the female northern lights is looking pregnant overall lol. The trichomes development is looking much better as expected. I was hoping to get some more vertical growth but I guess the whole process of reveg made the plant a little weaker. The stretch until week 3 was not that much, approximately it grew only a couple inches.
Opinions?

Cheers

Hello guys,

I hope everyone is doing ok, I wanted to share with all of you the second day of week 5 of flowering and 2nd week of seed development. Since 3 days I noticed the lower leaves turning yellow which I do think is a nitrogen deficiency due to the energy used in the seed development. I watered it yesterday with used coffee grounds around 2 tablespoons with one liter of water. The second pic is again a close up from the trichromes.

Cheers.

Hey guys how is it going,

Today I have two pictures to share with the plant development in the 6th week day one of flowering and 4th week of seed development. All around I can see that that plant is healthy and starting to release a very potent aroma. The buds are developing very slowly since the seeds count is looking good, looking forward to harvest around 50+ seeds. The trichomes amount I see in the buds looks really satisfying, I had a couple of harvests in the past (bag seeds) but is the first time that I plant a seed that is looking so beautiful like this northern lights. The yellowing of the bottom leaves stopped after I used the infusion of leftover coffee grounds and so far I don't see any other deficiencies. Lights are at 12 inches and at 100% since 3 days ago.

Cheers.
