I was working so didn't see it as it happened but saw it later on the news. I remember Apollo 8 so well because we opened one gift on Christmas Eve and I got my GI Joe Action Sailor. So we watched it together.

I knew I had to intervene and get him some help so I sent him away. Last I heard he broke out of rehab and made his way down to Tijuana never to be seen again.

Wish I still had all my GI Joe stuff. They are worth a fortune now a days. Crazy what people are willing to pay for a piece of their childhood.

Is it normal for my reservoir with tap water, calmag plus, mega crop 1 part, and bud explosion to cloud up after a day? Also have a circulation pump that goes off every hr. For 15 minutes.

That's odd.....I sure hope not. I am setting up a system that hols 60 gallons....then again it may get cloudy....check the ph....maybe it has impurities in it.

I only put 10 gallons in 25 gallon tank so I drained it last night. Maybe had 4 gallons in it. Washed tank even though it is brand new and refilled with all the same minus the calmag so will see what it looks like tonight when I get home. The tank I drained was ph to 5.5 Saturday and was at 6.5 Monday evening

Glad somebody else brought it up so I could segue a related line of thought. Opaque is the standard for ripeness. So where does that leave clear and amber? They are your +/- to watch, because there is a point of waiting and it's really benchmarking the gain vs loss. Key question: As I wait even longer, are clear trichomes turning cloudy at a faster rate than cloudy ones are turning amber? And as long as net gain is going on, you're better waiting. Once you're getting net loss you are just losing and not gaining anything at all by waiting any longer. At least as far as THC potency goes.

When I see a couple ambers.....I cut 'er.

I plan on using the Mega Crop 2 part. Give that a try with my hydroponic grow....I will check out when it flowers....if buds aren't developing or/and fattening I may have to add some bud explosion

I used 1/2 tsp 1 part and 1tsp 2 part B and 1/4 tsp bud explosion in 5 gallons. EC was at 1.2 in in autopots. First time using them started Saturday. Plants where already in week 3 of flower. Got a neglected permanent marker that was stuffed against the wall and a couple godfather og. They are all clones that I took on Jan 10th. The permanent marker is a wild plant that would probably be better for outdoors

Hey Mike! : ) hows the milky coming on. I didnt get to the point you are at with mine. And i feel like they stalled out towards the turning milky to amber, never got to amber before i needed to take that stuff down. Looking awesome!

I'm finally finding a few seeds in some of that Afghany primo from the GDP x BBHP cross. I've found a few beans in the GDP, a parent back-cross. Still hoping for some in the BBHP. Haven't checked. I'll get there, maybe someday. I did find a few of GDP x Mother's Milk cross.
This has been brewing in my head for a bit but for those whose sole goal is to smoke it I say bring on the amber But those of us who extract have to understand the impact of heat extraction.

I've seen it. I heat extract at 10+% amber I'm going to degrade the THC further. No choice, even at 250F decarb temp but also at 120-150F 3+ hour extract. Bro science at this point but we'll see. Lots of studies coming

Plus aside from the heat degradation there's also the normal post harvest degradation. I've deliberately made CBN heavy edibles before. They hit me a lot like taking a Vicodin with half a valium but without the pill hangover. Trouble sleeping? Yeah I got something for that

That's a damn good point I hadn't even considered. I knew there was some loss. I know @Crazyformes has all the testing gadgetry I think that may be handy to have when trying to figure that detail out. It's just so damn expensive though. I don't smoke, except a test hit or two every strain, just to see so I'll be sure to check out what you find. Maybe the crazy man will chime in with what he's seen.

I got to watch the space shuttle blow up. Teacher had the launch playing while we were in class.

It was one of those events we remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when we heard the news. I was a yardman at an equipment rental business and I was at the gas pump filling a piece of equipment when a coworker told me what had just happened. The other one that blew up on reentry, my wife and I were in the dining room with the TV on.

Like I mentioned, I wait till I see a couple ambers....now for degradation when converting to oils (decarb) I havent actually tested or shall I say compared what the weed tested at to what oil tested out at.

LMFAO I am really tempted to post my dialogue with an AI over a male plant. For about two weeks straight I uploaded node pictures and asked daily if it was male or female. Even when the ball clusters showed up, it stuck to its guns and called it vegetative growth at auxiliary bud sites. It was on Copilot. I guess we know where Microsoft sits with world view, because I uploaded to a different AI and it had no problem telling me that I have a biological male no matter how it identifies.
