Homeowners can throw them in regular trash.... preferably unbroken, but businesses must have them recycled, because of mass of bulbs.

The whole bulb can be recycled. All of it.
 
HID & HPS. are toxic too. But everything is known to be toxic, in California.🤪

Yeah, I’ve got a bunch of those things laying around also! They are also obsolete! Contain mercury! I think! Just curly fluorescents!
Compact fluorescent lights, I got a mess of em too. I've also got old heat lamps, Blue lights, Green Lights, Yellow lights I've been thinking about having them in a circle with blinkers on them so those flying over think
 
I agree! Taking any plastic out of the cycle is a good thing! But it’s a daunting task! Hell, a large percentage of the clothes we wear are made of plastic! Lol!
