Storing seeds for long term

I think I will stick to what is recommended by most of the cannabis seed long term storage research I have done and has worked for me over the limited 6 years. Also I would probably make a mess every time I needed to access my seeds. I just seems a simple black, airtight jar is quick and easy.

Ok this is what I have come up with and it think should be good ??? What do you clowns think???? LMFAO vacuum sealed lightly didn't go full Vacum but got out most of the air with a small desiccant bag than put it in this container that pushed out the air an now it's in the fridge in my bar
let me know good or bad

Very nice😉

I keep mine in plastic bags, plastic containers, etc in a 12 gallon tote kept in the garage, north side on the cool cement floor. Temp fluctuations do of course happen and pop ratios fall over time but this works for me, at least for now🙂

Window allows light to get in. For me this is a no.

Ideal Conditions for Cannabis Seeds

Cannabis seeds have four main enemies:
1. Humidity
2. Temperature
3. Light
4. Oxygen

Ideally, you want to store your seeds in a cool, dark, and dry place. Whenever possible, keep your seeds in their original packaging. At Royal Queen Seeds, we’ve specially designed our packaging to protect our seeds until you’re ready to plant them.

If your seeds get exposed to light or rapid changes in temperature, these conditions will trigger them to use up their nutrient stores before they ever see soil, meaning they won’t have the nutrients they need to germinate. High humidity, on the other hand, can trigger fungi to grow on your seeds.

I have one similar to this one. I also wraped the bottom portion in black electrial tape although that may be overkill. I also vacuum pack MOST of the seeds before putting them in the container.

tape a piece of aluminum foil over it.

Plastic is porous.

What is the seal on the threads of the jar? Im assuming its not glass on glass threading. The advertisement says nothing about it and intentionally avoids showing the inside of the lid.

I use that cheap threaded thicker wall metal pipe with the threaded caps on both ends. Same stuff they used to make pipe bombs out of. Dessicant packs, seeds inside little glass vials. Wrench on the caps with a little teflon tape. Light proof, uv proof, moisture proof, non pourous. Won't break like glass if dropped. Stop thinking products and start thinking storage materials.

In original shipped containers stuffed in cheap Tupperware in a fridge that's sitting in the garage. Probably won't even ever get to grow 80% of them. But with the new laws coming in November, maybe I'll start dabbing into the reserves. 😏

Just like corn in the 1930s. Flood the market with unstable surprise genetics and people double down hording junk while the IBLs are quietly removed secured, controlled, out of reach.

Surprise genetics in the 30's ? 🤔

Good morning all
I'm looking at what optimal temps and humidity levels should be while storing the seeds in the fridge and the numbers are all over the place I'm at 40 degrees and 8.8 % humidity what are your thoughts good or bad

In the fridge in an airtight jar that light cannot pass through with a dessicant bag at whatever the standard temperture is that currently keeps your food freash without freezing.
