Guys, do i have a herma ?
You sure do.
Remove the flower if you don't want herma seeds, if you're lucky it don't throw more but you might want to check them.
I tried the lollipop on one lady first, what you think ?
I almost got a shock man. First i thought it was in tent 1 🀣
I'm not very good at it but at this point in flower you can get the idea of what will be bigger buds.
From the size of the flowers that has formed.
I looks good and i think maybe keep it like that for you to see how the lowest budsites become and get some hands on experience on that.

Damn, how is that possible ?
I removed it when i saw it, but maybe it's better to dump it ?

In this case judging by the conditions and where the flower sits my guess is it is genetic.

You have to make the decision of keeping it.
Pros. More plants.
Cons. Maybe seeds in all plants.

I had a hermie plant like that and it didn't get many seeds.
The ones i got from stressing the plants i just remove. I think i got 3 nanas in last grow and i caught them same day so no seeds.
I get them in the top buds most when i stress them.

Damn, i really hate making choices.... I really don't want seeds... I could use some extra room in the tent, currently it is crazy filled.
I could watch it for a few days and then decide ?

Yeah it's a choice of chances and if you're able to catch all flowers if it throws more.
Also there is the risk all of them herm if it's genetic and then what?
I mean seeds i annoying but in small amounts it wont hurt the harvest.
But of course it's not top shelf anymore.
And you also got another tent in flower, not to make you paranoid.

To be honest, I don't check for it often enough either. I just happened to see it. But I'm going to keep an eye on it, if I see anything else, it's going in the trash.

Yeah ok but the place the flower sits looks easy to check.
As long as they don't come in the tops with the female flowers. Then it get harder for you. Also because you have 6 plants to check.
But i wouldn't grow the seeds again if a batch have hermed once.

Yeah, i also should check tent 1 really good.
You think it's possible that they are sensitive or so ? do you have herma's often ? Or do you have regular seeds ?

No i don't think so in your case. That one you can't avoid.
In my last grow it was my fault i feel. Because of where they came and when. I over feed them a lot and fried them with the light and the nanas came late flower. Those were regular seeds.
But it's not that often.
The other one i talked about was genetic. And the seeds came from a bud with a few seeds i bought so that screams hermie.
But yes i think that some plants herm more easy than others.

There is also the theory that when there is no males, then they will herm more easy.

I think of herm as a insurance for the plant. Not a genetic defect but just an unwanted genetic.

You can just remove that individual pollen sac......carefully. Right next to that I noticed some plant damage......maybe even just a semi removed leaf or something, could have stressed that area. Wouldnt worry about it!!

As far as lollipop.....the idea is to remove all growth below the upper main canopy. Anything below the 14" mark or so........top cola down 14" will stay and anything below is removed. I noticed you left a bunch of larf buds, those are just energy suckers!!

You right about that damage, next to it i cut a leaf.
As far as those larf buds, since i've found that sack, i'm afraid to touch them... I think i'll leave it like this ?

Other discussion point.
Tent 2 i have a lot of trouble to keep RH down.
Is it possible that my filter is full or so ?
When i disconnect the filter i have much better airflow.

This is the tent i bought used, so don't know how old the filter is. Seller said only 1 grow, but i would say that too πŸ€“

For the most part, or measurable part anyhow, You plant has say 2oz in an example. If you leave a bunch of actual larf you'll trim much more for that weight and less trichs go to bud and more cover fan leaf. You're not precisely losing over all but you're working more. Jacking everything into main colas might give you weight problems on those stems too. Extremes is bads. I leave some little larf that won't gain real weight for almost half of flower because the other thing is doing is maek GIRL HORMONES. So that's nice I think. You can hold on to some to juice that femme sauce then pluck them.
My target is medium buds and I have to rethink strategy on the next round as cereal milk is a new strain to me and a new opportunity.
Those are from @homegrowncannabisco and the first ones for me going rage mode living soil with cover crop and sawdust in the top inch for N and worm soldiers and just oodles of goodness. I'm thinking of doing more intense shaping again with internal bracing (instead of external pulling).

Sometimes it happens for many reasons , maybe it’s genetics maybe it was a happy accident nonetheless, I would recommend to stay away from seeds like this.
From my runs and trials anything from Hermed genetics even if it was a fluke, tends to come out in the next generation as well, so anything Hermed I toss to the compost, germinate them and eat the sprouts, or give to friends who want them

Thank you TerpBeans πŸ’―πŸ’―
This honestly took me so many runs before I started doing it right, but honestly the math mathssssss lol
It just makes sense, more energy to the main colas getting light up top, which produces heavier , denser, more resinous buds…
in my grows now, it’s definitely quality over quantity..
but like someone mentioned on here, the extra weight could and does make the branches sag , but nothing a net or bamboo stake can’t fix, mainly the last 2-3 weeks of flower, someone helped me on the farm a few months ago with some armor si, it’s a silicate formula that apparently helps develop strong branching, and I can say this is checking out I think, all of my trunks look slightly thicker than before so shoutout to them πŸ’―πŸ’―
But yes, lollipopping 2 weeks after stretch phase , is where it’s at in my opinion
