Good morning id appreciate some help this is my first grow going into flower it's been 43 days since flipping to 12/12 it took the plants about 2-2.5 weeks before they really started to show sex characteristics and bud development.

I noticed they have burnt tips but I believe that was from when I first started switching to bloom nutrients and I cut back lower growth and new growth doesn't really have burnt tips. Plants pray and look happy every day.

I know the photos isn't the best the light looks white to the eyes but shows up blueish on camera id assume lighting frequency I took these this morning about 5ish minutes after lights came on. I used floragrow and bloom for nutrients

This is the light I use it was given to me I can't find any other information on it.

I forgot to include I'm growing in dwc 1250ppm and ph stays around 5.7-5.8 with Weekly water changes. I'm growing a strain called White inferno happen to get some seeds from a bag I got at my dispensary seems like it's recommended flowering time is about 10 weeks I understand that's just an estimate however

The time between flip and stretch is normal, no worries there. Your light should be sufficient at 200+ watts, no problem there.

All in all the plants look relatively healthy but the photos could be better, without going in depth into your nutrient regimen besides that it's probably just the DNA. 10 weeks sounds sativa heavy, and unfortunately some can grow like that. It could also be exaggerated by the light being hung too high.

Also, a bag seed is likely from a herm and that's a roulette wheel of genetic possibilities.

Thai/Hindu genetics maybe. Another thing worth noting even if not applicable here, root zone temperature has a profound effect on bud size. Same pheno I get coke can size in the fall and Big Stick size in the spring. Not as much a factor for you indoor folks but if you're growing in a basement it could be.

That's good to know I kept these guys in veg for a while suffered from the beginning of root rot caught it quickly got some hydrogaurd and hooked up a water chiller keeping my water at 68 degrees

From what I find of the strain info only and from the bag from the dispensary it's a indica dominant plant. It was a really short and bushy before the stretch then doubled in size. I'll try to take some better pictures after work today the light frequency messes with my camera. I tried moving the light closer after a few weeks in flower but the plants immediately started to show signs of light stress and bleaching within a couple hours and I had to raise it again

Just noticed 78° and 32% rh. That's a 2.32 vpd and might be too much environmental stress to let them thrive. I know it's good to have low rh in flower but there's a point when the stomata will close to defend against drought, even when sitting in a big tub of water.

They could be growing in short windows during the day when vpd is low enough and just kind of stalling out the rest of the time idk.

Do the leaves ever have a puffy-ness to them?

I may be old and jaded but I always take "strain info" with a grain of salt and just use my eyes and nose to judge now days. That plant's structure and leaf morphology look like a sativa leaning hybrid, which is totally possible as a phenotypical expression of a lot of strains.

The short and bushy beginning is pretty typical for most indoor under a strong light, you have to look at leaf size and shape. Once they hit flower the true expression of the plant really comes out.

Plus, if you found that seed in a bag of weed, you don't know if it pollinated itself, or was pollinated from the plant next to it, or a herm on another strain grown in the same room.

I try to keep it raised but it's hard I live in Colorado and it's really dry it's usually about 40% Rh I had the tent door opened for a bit and it dropped down. I have a small humidifier outside the tent but my house just sucks out the humidity

In the afternoon when I check after work about two hours before light shut off they look puffy and frosty really sticky to the touch and leaves will be praying

I'm doing a similar grow to you with Godfather OG. DWC, GH Flora trio nutrients. Res temps are around the same as yours and the air temps are around the same as yours. (66-68F res temp, 76-79F air temp daytime/68F nighttime) Two major differences (other than genetics) is humidity and EC (PPM). I have a Vivosun humidifier in my tent and maintain about 50-55% day and 45% night which puts my VPD more in the goldilocks zone. My EC is generally around 1.4 to 1.6 which would equate to between 700 and 800 ppm. I'm also using CaliMagic and distilled water, and adding Silica Blast when I do res changes every 10 days or so. Timewise, we're roughly the same time. I'm about mid way through week 4 since the first pistils showed, or about 5 weeks since flipping to 12/12. pH, for me, I try and keep as a minimum 5.8 and I let it drift slowly up to about 6.25 over a few days before bringing it back down. This helps with absorbing the various nutrients and minerals, etc. I'm using a bigger light (SE4500) and underlighting, but that shouldn't make that much of a difference.

Better minds than mine can weigh in on this, but it's possible your mix is too rich and you're getting some type of lockout. A couple of quick questions for clarity, if you don't mind.

1. what water are you using and what's the initial EC/ppm of the water?
2. you mentioned using Flora Grow and Bloom. Is that all you're using? (No micro/calimagic/silica blast or anything else?)
3. you said you have a small humidifier outside the tent. Is it possible to move it into the tent on a low setting to get your RH up to around 45% or so without the risk of it over-humidifying?

I only ask because I'm trying to see why there's such a drastic difference between our buds using more or less the same system and nutrient line at almost the exact same stage of growth.

Here's a couple shots of mine taken this afternoon:

(PS: had the same hot mixture issue myself about 7 or 8 days ago but seem to have recovered from it. Hence the tip burn)

I have a 1 gallon evaporative humidifier. I typically run that 24/7 and it keeps the room just about at 40%. Sometimes drops down to 30 %. I have a 4-in inline fan and a oscillating fan inside my tent. My temps rarely ever go above 78°. Typically range around 75 to 76. I don't have Central AC so to keep my apartment cool I have one of those two-in-one portable AC units that dries the air so I'm constantly fighting against that
How do you currently control temp and humidity in your growi have

1. I used distilled water for all of veg but got tired of having to buy a gallons of water. So I switched to tap water at the beginning of flower I've made sure it has no chlorine or chloramine and the PPM starts out at about 80-100 from tap

2. My apologies, I should have been a little bit more specific I use dyna grow and dyna bloom with the occasional Cal mag every couple of water changes. I use silica blast. Every water change

3. Unfortunately, I don't have enough space in my tent to be able to get my evaporative humidifier in my tent

They look amazing man jealous lol

I have one too but it goes right in the tent. They're not big enough to do a whole room. Does your exhaust have temp and rh triggers?

Thanks for the info, MPC. One possible solution for your humidifier might be to see if you can rig up a dryer hose to capture the humidity outside the tent and a small intake fan at the other end of it inside the tent through one of the vent openings. This will act as an active air intake system, but draw in the humid air. It might help with the RH/VPD issues.

Personally, I'm still leaning a bit towards too hot of a mixture, but that's just going from what I'm doing and the difference in size/weight of the buds at the same stage of growth. It could be that each small difference makes a ... well, small difference. But added together they make a bigger difference. As I said, though, since this is my first hydro grow, there are much more experienced people here who can weigh in.

Cheers,

BA.

Unfortunately not it was just a cheap vivosun 4" fan I got most of my stuff on a budget paid liked $200 for my whole setup but definitely realizing I need to invest. My humidifier is big for my 2x2 tent
