Cut n paste....good info. It's a small preventive step.Whats up with all this soaking in Peroxide?
That's something new to me.
In the olden days the hippies around here soaked the seeds with some acid called oxal in my language.
That was for making them mutate in some way i don't remember, but it could make them better.
Where as Peroxide is more sterilizing the seeds, so i just wonder what the purpose is and if there is any references to what it does?
Is it because you get powdery mildew a lot?
Soaking seeds in a diluted hydrogen peroxide (\(H_{2}O_{2}\)) solution before planting accelerates germination, sterilizes the seed coat to prevent fungal disease (like damping-off), and increases oxygen supply, which boosts seedling energy and breaks dormancy
