I feel the frustration in your typing tone and you're good... but nowhere near ready on that plant yet and you don't even need the nerdy loupes yet. You can see that thing is still shooting lots of fresh new green bud growth. You can do the math, the stuff that is fresh and green today... Even though there's some bud a little older... It's going to take about 2-3 weeks for it to mature to a point where you might need to look and see how the ripening is going. Take a deep breath. You have to wait some more. It looks fantastic BTW! And the younger ones and the one just bunching its top...
There's LOTS of signaling a plant gives off when it's winding down and at the finish line... You don't have to (nor should you) rely on one thing you're looking at to determine when it's ready, but trichome color is considered the most reliable.
As I said, NO RUSH... but order yourself a really cheap jewelers loupe like somebody posted here, will set you back about $8. When you have one, and when those hairs look like most of em have all dried up and no fresh white ones. Then you'll be close. And you're going to look up close at those tiny little balls in the surface of the bud. Right now they look like clear dew drops. As they ripen they are going to appear less and less clear and at the heart of it that's our goal, to have no clear ones.
But you will soon find out that's not a realistic goal because everything doesn't ripen uniformly. So this is why everybody tells you it's a judgement call. Because you are going to make a decision whether waiting is going to allow more of it to ripen or if doing that will cause too much of it to overripen.
