What's everyones choice for pest and mold/fungi control?

Im gonna be putting some plants outside for the 1st time here in Colorado in about a week.

I was wondering what you guys use for caterpillars, other pests, and brown mold control.

Trifecta is one product I'm getting.
What else should i get?

That stuff already has a couple of the things I'd recommend, like the mint oils and citric acid. Sounds like you're wanting to stay away from chemical insecticides and that's good because they tend to be residual. I would recommend a little 4 oz bottle of Dr. Bronner's Unscented Castile Soap, then you'll have something alternative you can occasionally hit them with. Two others that are natural pesticides, spinosad (a natural bacteria product) for residual control of hatching mite eggs and BT, another natural bacteria product that protects against butterflies and moths (bud worms).

A typical IPM process would be you treat with the oil or soap based insecticide first and then follow it up with spinosad and/or BT to keep protecting in between application intervals. If you're growing indoors in a tent you probably don't need the BT but a different problem sometimes presents itself indoors with fungus gnats. If they are an issue, you can just buy some mosquito dunks break off a little pea sized piece and drop it in your watering can. Mosquito dunks are a third natural bacteria called BTi.

My advice is don't wait for pests to be present. Take a proactive approach protecting your plant from pests because sometimes by the time you first find them, it's already too late.
