Mj402s 2026 Outdoor grow diary

Alright so I still have the plants going and they are starting to look better now, except for one PGC I trashed. Still no where near where I would like them to be.

I also yet again think the problem was something else besides the soil.

I realized today when opening my Grow Big nutrients that it had a strong vinegar type smell to it. Which i had not noticed previously. These were my leftover from last year and the new batch I got this year I opened the bottle and it's odorless. After doing a little reading its likely expired and this can definitely cause problems with the plants. I have given them this 3 separate times over the past few weeks. and I feel like thats when things kinda started going wrong.

Amending the soil has helped though, they are showing life and starting to get to their normal color. I will be amending the soil again after they have grown a bit more just incase that was the issue. I think it was the nutrients though.

Maybe there is still hope for them.

I also found a place that sells clones not far from me. I am going to take a look tommorow and see what they have to offer. If I see some good looking plants I might just start from scratch and get rid of the ones I have.

Picked up four clones today.

I dumped out the 1/3rd full bottle of my suspect fox farm grow big nutes and this is what I found inside..
Don't think thats normal.. it usually got a few clumps of clear what I assumed was salts but this is kinda crazy what came out just now.

Clones are honolulu blue and sex on the beach.

Starting to harden them off today.

Looking good man! Hopefully i still get something decent going this year. Im feeling more optimistic now though.

I’m later than usual starting. Things are catching up. I have a few autos too bc I was afraid of running low towards early fall!

I had a decent start but now im way behind lol.

Still not entirely sure what went wrong with my first seeds. I think its a a combination of the light not being strong enough and the bad nutes i ended up giving them.

The four new seedlings I planted are growing great and much better than the original 6 I planted. I did upgrade the light. So maybe it was that mostly. I had to keep them under the lights a lot longer this year because of the cold weather. I usually had them outdoors faster. I tested the old lights under a light meter and they barely get out of the "dark" section. New lights are much brighter. Got 6500k bulbs instead of leds.

Mistakes were made but live and learn. Im still feeling optimistic.

The "best" looking of the original 6(sour diesel) make me sad to look at most days lol but surprisingly they are starting to actually grow now.

Will be gifting the new seedlings to family since I found the clones.

I'm doing some autos also for the same reason, i know i'm gonna run out!
