Day 42 - 11/13

Not much happening. Well they are starting to smell a bit.
Skunk No1 (middle front) still has a lot of gnats. It has made me not want to topdress.
After i did that, it was like the gnats found their home.
I'm letting get as dry as i can now, see if it helps.
And i found out what the sweet smell it's starting to get. Melon. Not water melon but another. Nice it lost the liver pate smell
3 weeks left.

Durban poison (back right) still growing a bit i feel. Really nice budding. Maybe i left too much again.
6 to 8 weeks left for this one.

Nigerian sativa. Not a looker.
If it was like the last i grew, i wouldn't think too much from it but if this is ready in 4 weeks, it's probably gonna be real boring smoke.
Because of the fat leafs and the structure i think this is a fast one. It can be 10 or 13 weeks they say.
It was slow on building trichomes last but it went a lot longer and then got more trichomes.
I don't think this one have time for that. There is a bit more trichomes on the flowers though. The last i grew got this old school smell. Almost like teak.
4 to 7 weeks left.
Non of the seeds has cracked yet. Slowest seeds this time around.
They look ok though. Maybe not one of them. It has a small hole and is a bit pale. Big too.

Yeah thanks man. It sucks getting them in the buds. And now i also suspect the yellow leafs on the skunk are from the gnats.
They don't look like it's because of it needs nutes. The afghan does but not the skunk imo.
But i'm pretty sure we can't but BTI in EU.
I'm just gonna start neem oil again on the skunk

Small seed update

The seeds started cracking. I didn't make the paper that wet this time to see if there is a difference. Doesn't look like there is.
The one that looked pale with a hole still got no tap.
I don't like how pale it was and how dark it has become but i'll give it a chance of course.
I leave a small droplet on top of the seeds when i wet the paper. I use it as a "soak" but the bad looking seed didn't drink the droplet in 24 hours.
But after it did and became almost black.

So i forgot i gave my starter pots away for windows grow, so gotta wait potting them.
I also don't got much soil so potting after shops open.

News on the seed i ordered is they are on the way so that's good.

The seed to the right has a 1mm tap hiding in the reflection. The black one was the biggest to start with.

Day 43 - 11/13

Gave skunk No1 neem spray on the soil after watering. (front middle)
Did a ph test and a runoff test.
Ph 6
ppm 2000
So ppm is falling pretty quick.
I might give some ph 7 water because it got ph 6 during all grow.
I didn't bother to ph but i think i'll start.
Could be why runoff ph has fallen.

Balkh Afghan.
The "big" one
25 cm high, 35 cm wide
3 - 5 weeks left

Bud on the smaller afghan
I see only 2 real buds on this one.
But these indicas i'm gonna smoke all. Also the popcorn and i'm not gonna trim them as much as normal.
I can smoke it all day, every day.
My all time favorit. 46 years of smoking.

Durban poison early bud.
I don't see any trichomes yet.
I left a lot og lower buds because i hope the light structure allows that.
Probably not, because it got relatively many buds.

Day 44 - 11/13

Gnats came back. The dryback did not have an effect.
I even made an unintentional dryback on the Durban poison so the leafs hang.
So there were 4 quite thirsty plants.
Gonna check the ph to see if the yellow leafs on 4 of them is lockout. I doubt it though.

Down in left corner are 3 new ones. Not broken ground yet but pretty sure later today.
The start of my 12/12 from seed. I got big plans for my setup with that but lets see when reality hits.
I'm really excited about how it will turn out.

Cracked the last of the 4 seed open because it looked bad from the start.
It didn't look dead though but not sure it would germ.
I should have waited but i really don't need 4 of the same plant. Only 2.
But if i get 3 females i'll keep them. Plan is 1 male and 1 female.
Oh yeah if they break ground. I forgot to flush the soil. 2-3 ec it says on the bag.

Some of the white looked dark and slimy.

Skunk No1 getting closer.
Nannas stopped forming after i gave it less light.
A semi nana in the middle.
A bit small trichome heads. Looks frosty but they are thin.
Smells nice of melon still.

Extra thursday update

The 2 small afghans

I really like these 2.

The 2 branch model.
Got 2 nice buds coming on this one. The ones in each end.
I remove gnats from the trichomes a lot.
Trying to save the sugar leafs.
I'd hate to throw them out.

The 8 branch model.
Smaller buds and also gnat favorit.
Not in the soil.
They hang out on the leafs. Only skunk no1 has a huge amount of gnats. Really huge.
Very sticky phenos these 2. My big afghan is not the sticky type.
3-5 weeks left on the afghans.

I saw the neck of a seedling in the pots next to.
They felt a bit slow but 3 1/2 days is not slow for me.

Day 45 - 11/13

I think i'm pollinating the Durban poison today. It looks ready to me. (back right)
Small trichomes starting forming.

I don't feel i have to comment this.
Crazy plant

All 3 sheberghan visble. 1 folded out.
Slower than i'm used to, so it could be due to the hot soil. The color is also more pale than usual.

I ordered some more seeds in case i go full 12/12 from seed.

I have pollinated the nigerian maybe a week ago, and i just pollinated the durban poison.
I didn't get a male from the afghans so that has to be next time.
But first i need some seeds to make seeds, so i'm going to buy some more.
Different types. Long flowering too. Only landraces. Pakistan, nepalese, lebanon, thai and such.

Hate to see you go! This upgrade is nothing personal! Things get shook up around here every once in a while! Nothing a little playing around and relearning can’t handle! But you do you!
