Hard to tell from the photo, but I don’t think it is either.
I thought in was female plants showing male pollen sacs that was being discussed not Damascus steelHard to tell from the photo, but I don’t think it is either.
What you’re seeing looks more like a regular layered or patterned finish rather than true Damascus steel. Real Damascus usually has a much more obvious, flowing pattern that’s visible even in different lighting.
If you can, try checking it up close in good natural light — sometimes fake patterns are just laser-etched or acid-printed rather than forged layers.
