Greenhouse grow is rolling right along. Plants are looking good in my soil I've had cooking outside all winter so that makes me happy. I should have started mixing my own soil years ago. Transplant day for the Okie and AK crosses into their final 20 gallon pots. Set the pots up a couple days ago and watered with homemade LAB so the plants go in today. Cretan and Kandahar landraces looking good to. Hopefully they will show sex before outgrowing the 3 gallon pots.

Ok, thanks for that, and I'll keep it in mind. I have my big bud seedling under my light in a half-gallon-sized container, which I plan to transfer into 7 gal pot outside eventually. This leaves me no room for the two 5 gal pots with the autos, and since started the seeds outdoors in those pots, I was hoping for stable weather to get them going. I guess all I can do it keep them outdoors and hope for sun.


Watering seems to be my nemesis normally, can I ask how much water you'd give each of those autos in 5 gal pots? I've been going with 1/2 cup in a circles a few inches out from the seed spot.

I have a little bug problem i could use some help with. When I say "little" I mean they are small lol. I have tried multiple bug killers and have stressed the ladies trying to dry out the soil...no such luck in getting rid of them.

Mosquito bits watered into your medium. Are the pests on the traps fungus gnats?

Edit: look up russet mites🤣 now we’re talking “small” : )

I believe you need to treat a few times to break up their cycle. Like water them in and then within a few days another application. I’m going to treat for them in the back yard just to stay ahead of the game, and that’s what I was able to come up with.

What are the sprays you are using?

I started with a layer ofsevin dust, then moved to Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew, then to the mosquito dunks. My outdoor area gets a heavy coating of seven dust 2 weeks before plants go outside.

everything I can find online is stating 3-4 table spoons per gallon for heavy infestation. Along with needing to reapply ( every time you water, for at least 2 weeks) to interrupt the life cycle. The BTi affects the larva.

Don't know how autos will take to it, but photos should be fine. Your getting diffused light, right now. Great for seedlings, just not sure for Auto's, cause I don't grow them.

They seem temperamental, and produce small yields, typically. But I understand why y'all grow them. They do have their place for some folks with limited space, or lack of a good geological location for growing. That's the + side to them, for me.

Autos 🤦‍♂️. Never had any interest in them. But I understand the appeal of “Fast” versions.

Being that I'm a new grower and did a somewhat successful in-ground grow last year, I wanted to try the autos and fast version photo just to learn something I guess. With the autos, I'm learning that I know how to waste seeds lol.

I'm on hand with fast strain photos 👍. What I'm running outdoors this year, is in that category. Almost need to, with NE Ohio's early/mid October weather. Who knows... maybe in another 5-10 yrs. I'll be able to run satties full duration outdoors, with the way thing are changing.🤔😆

I do know a guy that loves autos. He grows them outdoors. He says the key for him is starting them in peat pots, then planting pot n all, straight into ground. They can't be disturbed one bit. The clock is running ⏳

He's tried to give me some beans more than once....no thanks. If I ran them, it'd have to be if they came as freebies in a order....if I couldn't find someone who'd take them in trade or something. That is.

Please don't use sevin dust! It is an indiscriminate killer that kills beneficial insects as well. Including bees,butterflies, and other crucial pollinators. There are much better alternatives. The bees are having a hard enough time without us poisoning them.

I've used it for ground applications, only. Not on the plant where bees n such will be. Works great when your dealing with slug's
