I'd prefer to grow in ground with a regular photoperiod like I did last year with Durban Poison. I was somewhat satisfied with how it turned out, but my Ohio weather sucked all summer, and it was not a fun experience when fall showed up. I was thinking a better option for me would be autos or the fast version. According to available info, I should be able to complete a grow of Big Bud Fast Version between Jun 1st and Oct 1st, roughly. Which for me would be great. If my autos fail, that's my only hope this year.

Thanks for that autos tip. I tried two already in solo cups. They sprouted, but growth quickly stunted (don't know why) and when I eventually tried to put in 5 gal pot, they fell apart completely. So I'm trying again with them from start to finish in the 5 gal pot. Then the sun vanished and that's what brought me here this morning, looking for a miracle :D
I do know a guy that loves autos. He grows them outdoors. He says the key for him is starting them in peat pots, then planting pot n all, straight into ground. They can't be disturbed one bit. The clock is running ⏳

He's tried to give me some beans more than once....no thanks. If I ran them, it'd have to be if they came as freebies in a order....if I couldn't find someone who'd take them in trade or something. That is.

I prefer sown directly in their final grow bag but I’ve transplanted without too significant of a difference. If transplanting the best success I had was when I used small square pots cut them down two corners so I could slide the plant out without a fuss.

No miracles. Go to Walmart buy an el cheapo light and since they are in bags put em under it for a few hours every night then back out in the day, even if cloudy.

Moved them outdoors in the shade a couple days ago, but they were reaching hard. Moved them to their summer home today

everything I can find online is stating 3-4 table spoons per gallon for heavy infestation. Along with needing to reapply ( every time you water, for at least 2 weeks) to interrupt the life cycle. The BTi affects the larva.
So should I keep them on the normal watering cycle as well then. I've been letting them dry out before watering again

Yeah thats what i would do : ) i know it’s hard in the beginning of the season as the pots arent drying out as quickly. So maybe you might try to minimize the water amounts per watering? So they dry back a bit before needing another water to keep the bits applied within the cycle of larva, without over watering the pots (to frequently).

Another thing to look into is nematodes.

Afternoon fellow outdoor growers. Mine aren't ready to be set out full time yet. Another 5 days they'll go into their 15gal pots. 2 tallest are the GG#4 1 Rogue #1 and a mystery photo in the black pot. I'm thinking we'll be getting 15hrs by the 25th of May and i should be safe, man i hope so🤪😉 I mowed the area where the pots are sitting on the lawn for the last time i hope. I let the grass/weeds die and just water my bushes, trees and gardens. I've not put my toms in yet as they were so small when i bought them so i'm giving them some poo juice to beef them up.

And just a couple pics of my flower beds. More pics to come as i get the rest of the gardens going.
Love you Snoop🥰

Here, I just set up the light area since we too are in for a cloudy week or so. This is what I did late last summer. Primarily using sun, supplementing with lights. The are WAL-MART lights we got just for veggie seedlings and barley starts. Nothing pretty or extravagant.

When sunny or even partly sunny they go out or on the other side of the porch.

Hope it helps.
