Hi
First time grower, I have 4 photo period plants, 4 different sizes, 3 different strains all started at the same time.
I have just discovered that One, maybe two of my plants have seeds.
What can be done?

Its been 9½ weeks since 12/12 flip, but a helpful member suggested its more like day 38.
I believe this is because I had a bug zapper in the room at lights out and maybe a bit of light coming through the very top of my curtains, but I cant be sure if these delayed anything.

Grown in coco, 5 gallon pots. Feeding just canna coco a + b twice daily.
Ec in 1.2 (cut out cal mag and lowered overall ec due to leaves clawing, burnt tips and high runoff ec - 2.8, from 1.7 in) for about 6 days.
I water so that I get between 600 - 1200ml runoff, trying to lower the ec, which is currently down to 1.9 - 2.2.
Light about 800ppfd or 35DLI (roughly as im having phone issues atm), but the light is nearly touching one plant and the main seed plant is about 6 - 12 inches away. Its at max height.

We've had hot weather and even with A/C temps have got up to 29 - 30c lights on, 27.7c lights off in the past week, for a day or two.
Up until then, temps and humidity have been stable and vpd is around 1.2 - 1.5 at this stage in flower.

What should I do about the main seed plant and maybe one more, which is the second to last picture.
That spot on the bud looks different to the other ones and was pushed up against the tent door so its been getting bashed accidentally for a while.

The hermi in the room will already have done it damage I imagine all your plants will be seeded in one form or another.
It will keep producing male sacks so it isn’t great to keep it in the same tent.
The seeds will carry the hermi trait.
Some will tell you to keep the seeds as the first time you use them you will get a higher female % however the hermi trait means some might herm.
2nd generation hermi’s have a much much higher herm rate.
Myself I don’t play with hermi seeds anymore. I tried it once did get that high female count however some did hermi
you probably would be best to isolate any herms
Rem pollen can travel miles & in a tent with a fan it will pretty much pollinate everything

I wont use the seeds from it, thanks.
Anybody else with opinions?
I need to get something from these plants, I dont mind if I have some seeds.
I think one other plant is effected.
Should I keep going?

Definitely keep going. A few seeds in your buds isn't a big deal. Just have to make sure to clean them out before smoking.

We smoked weed in our teens with gang of seeds. Never effected the enjoyment of it. If your trying to move it, it is trash. If it's for you. Just enjoy it. Removing the seeds will be part of it. Might have been some bunk seeds to begin with. Nothing you can do about that.

Every year I get a few seeds in almost every plant I think it’s just a self preservation thing you could alway wash all the buds or sift it into hash

First post. I have three plants week 5 flowering. Noticed a stall in their maturity this week. All three different strains. All are showing seeds. I’m removing the one (Popscotti) that shows seeds on the buds and one (Cakelatto) that may be part hemp and had some stress. I’m keeping Papaya Cake. It seems it is the least impacted with seeds.

I had Hermies about 6 months ago. Could pollen survived that long.

Yes,clean tent or area with hydrogen peroxide b4 next grow, get pollen sacks off walls n ceiling, sticks like dust bro...

Had same issue,its a b....d..
Thanks, it’s tough. How long will pollen be active? My Cowgirls are in my grow tent which is clean. The seeded plants are in my Flowering Room which I need to clean real good. What about air conditioners, heaters, fans, etc. Any advice on cleaning them?

good advice. They are in a separate room.

Clean blades on fans if possible and you should be good to go,propellors collect dust n pollen particles, you,ll see dirt on cloth...also any surface of heaters, conditioners, aftdr clean dry with heater.

Actually you can do something about it... buying better quality seeds which are properly and rigorously selected over multiple generations and stress tested correctly would drastically reduce this hermaphroditism problem. But those seeds aren't the cheapest seed to produce and aren't from the pop suppliers. Quality begins at the seed.
The best you can do is keep an eye out for where the male flowers are popping up and pick them off
Solid advice from someone with experience picking nanners off their buds. Listening to the ones with experience is a good idea, they have had plenty of time to figure out how to best deal with this recurring problem.
and one (Cakelatto) that may be part hemp
😬 yeah... perhaps!

Never a bad idea to disinfect and clean 👍🏻, but water deactivates pollen. When I brush pollen on a female I wait a certain period of time, spray it down with water, then move it. Keeps pollen from going everywhere when I go to make seeds. Works.

So you should be able to infer.. that when your hermie pollen is drifting around... a spray bottle with plain water is your main weapon! Seems like you guys need to be spraying your plants and grow area often. Those genetics aren't paying off very well. Just creating seeds and more work. That sucks. Better luck next time.

Hindsight is 20/20... Nothing he can do about it now. But yes, buying quality seeds would have helped tremendously. But.. saying that, not knowing what he actually got, hard to make that judgement call. Easy to point a finger .. the rest are pointing back at ya.

He can learn from it. Now. Possibly, but that's not guaranteed.
But.. saying that, not knowing what he actually got, hard to make that judgement call.
He got hermaphroditism... actually. That is not a 'judgement" it is an observable fact.

Learn the difference so you can make sense in your thoughts and your writing. By knowing the meaning of words you use you can communicate effectively.
I understand that possibly, english may not be your native language, but if you don't know the meaning of a word, it's better not to use it if you want to make sense to people that understand the meaning of words.
