Early flowering auto flower. Please help

Hello hive mind! I hope you can help!
2 plants, Northern Lights autoflower (started lst see photo) and F1 Hyperion Autoflower. Both potted in fabric 20l pots with westland young plant mix
NL has started flowering prematurely and have nonidea why! Recent hot spells, but notnleft to dry out, fed with biobiz grow, in a greenhouse. Not doing things scientifically and have never grown before but I assumed autoflowers where on a genetic timer of sorts... really didn't expect to see flowering after 7 weeks.
F1 is a couple of weeks behind the NL but also showing signs of early flowering.
greenhouse day time temps kept between 30 and 20. Night times temps down to typical zone 9 no extra heating provided.

Autos begin to flower anytime from about 3 weeks to 7 weeks, usually around 4-5 weeks. Hot/cold and hours of sunlight don't really have much of an effect, other than you'll get more growth with extended sunight hours. There's not a lot you can do to extend or delay flowering. They flower when they flower. Photos are much more forgiving of mistakes/isues because you control when they flower.

Also they can easily double in size after flowering starts, sometimes more.

Thanks for the heads up. So should I now be feeding with nitrogen rich feed or potassium rich feed? What them to grow but at the same time if they are starting to flower, I'll need promote that growth too. I am dissapointed that vegetative growth seems to have stopped..

Your Northern Lights probably got stressed from the recent hot weather in the greenhouse, even if you didn’t let it dry out

So 20l fabrics with seedling mix? Cant find this specific mix from Westland you mentioned but i'm pretty sure that it's a factor in the stunting. You also mentioned nutes. At what time did you start using those?

I've grown a fair bit of autos by now and flowers in week 7 are normal, they should be pretty prominant actually since an auto can take about 60 to 90 days to finish. True premature flower happens way sooner in the process.

What likely happened is the plant stunted during veg due to some problems in the soil, lighting, ambient temp or a mix. Especially if they've been outside since april/may? Regardless of a greenhouse unless you run lamps inside. If for instance the rootzone gets too cold, they will grow really slow (around 15C and below is when they practically stop)
With added LST to recover from it can really stunt an auto. They will flower as usual but wont get to the size they should be, including buds.

Keep trying, next grow will always be better (:

Soil looks kinda of compacted (from photos) and if autos have a not so easy journey to root out they just decide to flower. dump a gallon of perlite or 30% by volume of your pot next grow. Mix it well before use.

7 weeks before flowering is a long time for a auto. Breeder/strain depending
Some start flowering around the 4th week even if not stressed.

Thanks for the info.. first grow, learning all the time.. i figured autos would be simpler but didn't recon on the vegetative growth being so slow and having such a hot weather snap!.. the westand is a young plant mix, not a hot mix, quite alot of sand with loam with a low john innes additive. The f1 has started flowering too but is a week or two behind.. I have 2x durban poisons that are also struggling with the veg stage.. im thinking probably the westland mix?!.. although I did add a good amount of fungus to the mix to help...
Defo a steep learning curve and as an outside grow im running out of season now, but seems to be a disappointing one.. seeds are so damn expensive!! Should I mix the bio biz grow with the biobiz bloom? Or just feed the flowering now?

Grwosef the Autos are that way once the are seedlings the fuse is lit there is no stopping how fast they go without damaging them environmentally and no one wants that

Yeah, first grow and realising ive not got it right enough first time.. the soil is westand young plant mix (john innes no 1) so a warm mix not too hot, but quite sandy and probably needed some perlite to help stop it compacting And at a guess is what has stunted growth. Started biobiz grow at about 4th set of leaves, but I think the crazy hot snap triggered the flowering (though what many people are saying about autos it may just be coincidence..). I have 2 durban poisons that are really struggling to throw their first true leaves... can only think its the soil and their roots are struggling.. steep learning curve. And as its a green house grow there are some factors I can't control..
