Thanks Gray, I did get them but did not read the instructions. I put them in water like the pellets and they promptly fell apart. Just a bunch of coco floating on the water.

The starting early had a rational, really. LOL
I was going to take clones, then flower the mothers to figure out female from male and then trash the males. It would have worked, if I had better success with the cloning. Being it was my first time.....

I don't understand all the flipping of plants to find out which are male and female. I didn't have a problem with growing them till they showed themselves....7-8 node., then topped to 5th node

I could clearly see what they were , weeks before going outside.

I just hope I didn't fuck up, today. I check my male every day, watching those pollen sac's. Noticed today there were three of them open.. Inside he went.!!

We had very little wind today, so hopefully we're still good in the garden, nobody is in bloom as of yet.

Today I finally felt my age. Digging holes, mixing amendments, hauling everything from house to boxes and back was almost too much. (but I love it. LOL)
I got 10 plants installed in the dirt. Whew. Line up is almost the same same as the 12.

You might have pollinated your neighbors autos! But that’s not a big deal!

Not that I'm aware of... unless their indoor growers. I can spot most outdoor grows around here. Just look for the orange 5 gal buckets in the back yard.

Their like road cone's...they pop up everywhere in the spring.

Looks like you caught him just in time !! Outside pod is open but doesn’t look to have released any pollen yet I’d say you’re good

Arbico says this one will kill Asiatic beetles as well as Japanese beetles.

I haven't used it so I can't confirm it works but any product that has Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. galleriae in it should work as well as this one.

Cleaned out the greenhouse, washed the used pots and trays, chopped the tall girls and put them on the burn pile. Just waiting for the rain......... tap, tap, tap.

Had a visitor today. He/she looks like they were in a pond recently with all the mud. Should have taken a ruler out with me, but I estimate the shell was approx. 8" long.
Google says it's a Snapping Turtle and I learned people actually trap and relocate them. Who'd a thunk?

Stress can cause flowering in other plants too. Cosmos should not be doing this yet. But it's so pretty. Maybe it liked the half inch of rain last night.
