Just some pics of Drunken Bastard (7eastgenetics) that I keep in a corner of the yard. Nothing special or high tech. 1 gallon pots, megacrop applied once a week (scoop in a gallon of water). Nothing analyzed or monitored really.

Plants are clones that are popped outside to immediately flower. Most is turned into hash to give away as gifts.

This variety always foxtails at the end hence the white hairs on the tips of the dried flower.

I've been thinking about this one. Do you have more pics of it during the grow? Also what does it smell like?

I'll have to check for some older photos as I've been running this one for a few years now. The smell is mild and barely travels past the plant even in full flower. You have to put your nose in it. Very mild but pleasant. (stealth is the point of the pheno so it's expected).

When I make the hash the smell is very strong, but then mellows after the hash is sealed. Good nose when reopened but not loud. Strain will turn purple at the end of flower if there's any dip or fluctuation in temps. I've got a dozen that are just about ready so I'll take some pics of them before they come down.

These pics are from 2 weeks ago.

Have you been changing up the light schedule or maybe have a light leak going on? Buds look really nice but I'm seeing what looks like reveg growth originating from the petioles of your fan leaves, and while foxtailing is often genetic, an improper light schedule can trigger it too.

Tightening this up, looks like you are doing flowering around the Solstice and while moving them outside from 18 hrs to 14 will initiate flowering, there's not enough of a dark period to keep them there without artificial assistance. I flower through peak solstice by letting plants sleep in late in the shed. It gets dark cat close to 9pm so I don't take them out until 9am and it keeps them from misbehaving.

Ahh, I should have mentioned this. I live in a location where the shortest day is 11 hours and 45 minutes and the longest day is 13 hours so these get cloned and vegged in a shed under 18/6 and then put out anytime of the year to automatically flower. No revegging going on. In fact, this variety is immune to herming no matter the abuse I put them through I even reversed a female with sts, got 100% reversal with hundreds of flowers and they were all completely sterile.

They definitely foxtail near the end but that seems genetic. These ones get about 6 hours of direct sun and the rest is bright shade.

Here's some from today. I took half of them down because we're getting rainy weather and it's almost 90 degrees so very humid. Powdery mildew is always a concern though hydrogen peroxide keeps it at bay usually.

I'm letting the other half go a week more an an experiment. Close up your first thought is "too early" but this breed keeps pushing pistols way past the point that 90% of the buds would rot so when I start seeing 30% amber everywhere I look I just pull them. Usually at the 10-11 week mark. I'm curious with the current weather if I can keep mold away with H202 (I happen to be off the week). If it looks like a losing battle I'll pull the rest.

These are whorled leafed phenotype. I think it would be hard to even gauge a reveg from typical leaves of these ABC derived strains.

I think the bud structure would degrade just like standards. These are dense right until they foxtail if I let them go too long. Current day is 13 hours and will get shorter from here on out.

Thanks. Yup, I'm gonna have to get some seeds. I have some Subterfuge (ABC) X Freakshow seeds I may play with this winter. They're F1's so I'll have to cross em then hunt for the whorled phenotype. But it is an obvious walk passed it and not even recognize it plant for sure.

7eastgenetics.com still carries the drunken bastard series. I bred several generations (up to f6) and they are really stable. I was going to just spread seed around for funs but they are a bit hard to germinate. I have to soak them for 12 hours, then in a damp paper towel and ziplock. If they don't sprout in a day I take each seed and gently crack them in a pair of plyers. Then 50 to 80% of them put out tails and can be planted. I'm assuming it's just their evolution in Australia's harsh environment gives them tough shells.
