That's why I make a fence, and grow pole beans. I've have a small area that can be viewed from the road...if your inclined to slow down to look close enough, before the bean foliage hides them thru to harvest.

Build it as high and long as u want it, they will fill it....plus u can eat the beans, let sum dry for seed for next year. 👍
Very nice. I like that a lot. It could definitely work for me.

That looks like some sort of leaf hopper. They can be destructive and a vector for pathogens like phytoplasma infections. Neem helps keep them at bay
U sure about that...
I did my weekly spraying on Sunday, and before all was totally dry .

I've seen all different colored ones, but Ive mostly seen the colorful kind.

I think it sounds like you’re doing everything pretty much right! Sometimes it just comes down to something as simple as watering properly! There’s nothing wrong with Ocean Forest and I think in a 5 gallon pot you should be able to grow an auto with adding nothing but Water. Just two cents!👍

Colorful ones on a plant loaded with fat buds always makes me happy. Psychedelic bugs on weed seems appropriate.just another bug.
My friend, I used to feel the same about leaf hoppers, until I had multiple phytoplasma infections going on in my grow. They are tough to deal with and it is spread by leaf hoppers.

Finished up my weekly feeding in the garden, after a nice soak from the hose this morning.
Girls all healthy, and growing fast.

I'm going to hibernate in the basement, it's gonna be a scorcher the next couple days, in my parts.

Thanks for sharing those. One thing that stands out right away to me is your stems. They are much thicker than mine were at a similar spot. Also, your branches are extending further out.

I think I should have started my autos about now, not a month ago.
I wouldn't. This heat can f' em up as much as fluctuations, when young. You end up having to shade them. You can do that and it works but man it's a daily fucking grind. You end up feeling link the Karate Kid, "shade on, shade off". Been there very recently.
Well, my og kush and northern lights were started in the pots, but my Gorilla Cookies Auto, started in solo cup, has had better veg growth than either of those. At least in my uneducated view.
Different strains, even different plants from the same strain, react differently to the exact same environment.
I'm thinking the 30-degree temperature fluctuations and lack of light early on must have hurt my autos.
Sure could have.

I filled each pot with Fox Farm Ocean Forest and nothing else. How that is for organic content, I'm not sure. Then I've used 1 tbsp top dressing Roots Organic Terp Tea on each of the plants during veg twice on the fast photo big buds and once each on autos. Since my two autos are flowering, I've since given them Tiger Bloom once, and no terp tea.

If this sounds like I don't know what I'm doing, it's because I don't.
Hmmm, whatever is in the bag is in the bag. I don't recall you mentioning the soil before. That shouldn't need fertilizer for a couple of months. Did you read the direction on both containers? Your application rate us tsp/gal of pot size. You haven't mentioned pot size. Can I suggest that you invest in a cannabis grow guide book like the cannabis encyclopedia or cannabis Bible and keep it in your bathroom. Nothing like learning in the reading room. Consider it directed leisure reading of an elevated sort. This approach got me through many exams.

The only way I could start the autos and not have those fluctuations would be to start them later outside or perhaps let them go inside for a while until temps normalize.

Moving the autos into shade was my plan, which I didn't mind, but I think that plan failed because I did nearly every DO NOT DO THIS WITH AUTOS that I've come across. I've taken notes and believe I will do better with them on future attempts.

Can I ask a couple questions? 1) What size pots are those? And 2) Did you start seeds in the pot?

Nearly everything I could find about autos said start them in the medium you wish to finish them in. Well, my og kush and northern lights were started in the pots, but my Gorilla Cookies Auto, started in solo cup, has had better veg growth than either of those. At least in my uneducated view.

Sorry for the late reply, but you have gotten lots of good advice from others so I won't dilly dally.

The fabric pots are 7 gallons and I could have gone smaller but the little larger size gives me a fudge factor in case I forget to water. I use big box store potting soil and amend with worm castings, perite and rice hulls. I also sprinkle some Gaia Green in before planting.

I do transplant Autos, and it may stunt their height a little, but they stretch during flower and finish when they should. This year I started Auto seeds May 31, transplanted the seed w/tail into small cups, then into 3" pots, then into the 7 gallon outside. They are not as robust as photos, for me, but they do produce beautiful flowers every time.

First picture is the Qrazy Train Auto. She's roughly 4-5 weeks along and no signs of flower yet. Looks healthy though. The two in the greenhouse are the AK-47 and Bruce Banner. Also roughly 4-5 weeks along. Everybody's happy this morning.

I'm sure you will. 🤞 🤞

I have multiple cannabis books including those. Growing up in Indiana, the last state to ever be legal, I never even opened them because I thought I'd be in Indy my entire life. But things change, and now living in a legal state, I have an interest.

Being that I grew for the first time last year and was quite pleased with the results, I see no reason to deep dive. I'm seeking a very basic understanding of cannabis growing and I'm getting there. This could definitely turn into a hobby, but I have enough of those.

I mentioned previously what I'm using, and yes, always read the instructions. Although it never fails that someone will say, "Don't follow the instructions," with some products. I have 5 and 7 gallon fabric pots, ocean forest soil, and I've used Roots Organic Terp Tea. That's all.

Cool weather this morning supposed to only get to 75f and will gradually get warmer no more rain for now. Things are progressing slowly those are the photoperiods in the first 2 pics then there's my autos in the next 2 pics. The tiny one just got put out into it's final pot this morning, poor tiny thing. The strain is called Godzilla cookies LOL. My veggie beds are not doing great cause of the beetles that are wrecking the leaves. I've given up on the bush beans i've planted those 3x my 2 zucchini are not happy. Tomatoes are fine and my cantalopes are happy. Don't know why those beetles just mostly eat the beans and squash leaves. There on my MJ plants but the spray keeps them away for just a couple days then i see them and the earwigs uggh.
Then there's my pretty begonia in my snail pot. It's been in there 3yrs, dies back in winter it's a tuberious variety. Anyhoo that's the update slowww and steady.
