Quickie update. I actually saw the plants grow today. It was hot and sunny and I have the red neck to show for it. Here is my other collective member and project manager Capt Nefarious. The plants are taller than him so he had to beat them back with a hammer.:tongueout

How early are you getting those girls started? I can't remember if you've already said how early on you start 'em.

Ganja D is shopping for some more seeds and asked me what I was interested in. I took a good look and there were a few that peaked my interest. Something that has bothered me for a while is the lack of pics of these strains. Not just here but on all of the seed sites. How can these "companies" not come up with one pic of a growing plant. Aren't you doing test grows before you release these seeds? How can these guys charge so much without showing any results? Are we supposed to just trust their reputations? If we were to do that not many seeds would be bought. Seams like many have had bad batches, low germ rates, fems that hermi, autos that don't auto, strains that have ten different phenos etc etc. Many when issues arise say it was one of their breeders that they hired out to do some of their breeding that made the bad batch. There are a few with good pics and good descriptions. They probably are doing a much more professional and responsible job with their breeding. Not saying all are bad but if this is going to be your profession please put a little more effort into it. It would be nice if there were a little more transparency with these companies. I know many are still very underground but show us a pic of your rooms, your facilities, tell us your practices. So how bout it breeders? What do you have to hide? I know it is a tricky business and there is pretty much no recourse for a bummed out customer unless the breeder takes note of their complaints on one of these sites. That is why breeders should have more transparency. I believe the ones that do will be the ones that thrive in the future. This is a business after all and there are a lot of seed(y) companies getting into it. More and more everyday. You don't have to have big bucks like GH to thrive in this biz but show us why we should be trusting whole crops to your seeds. That failed crop might mean no food on the table for a family or a medical patient goes without the medicine he needs. You have a huge responsibility to your customers so please don't take it lightly.

vancouverseed.com has v.i.s.c's work, they r good peeps and have nice pix & descriptions.some of my fave BC genetics r well repped. reef has some gems(Love Potion,Harmony, etc),as well...from what ive tried. rarely do i look to holland/europe 4 seeds, but Mr.Nice seeds is worthy...shanti's a boss !the last seeds i purchased were Dutch Treat IBL from East Island.found a in/out compatable keeper mom that is even danker than i expected !i tend 2 run BC based genetics, unless experimenting/playing. ive heard nothing but good about dr.atomics wares also, his version of NL is said 2 b 1 of the best

every time i see a picture of your garden, i think holy shit that's the greatest ganja garden i've ever seen. and then you update. keep up the incredible work. also, well said about the shady breeders. if i buy seeds, i should at LEAST get to see what the breeders themselves got out of the strain!

only get seeds directly from personally known breeder, and watch the mother father be grown, or learn as much as you can about the grow/breeding practices being followed. Thats pretty much been the rule for me, and has worked out really well, :). Breed own seeds, never run out :D.

I Love your garden! Bit more than I would ever want to grow, so I am more than content to just watch. Beautiful man...... great job.

hey humboldt all looks nice and inspiring, I dont know if i'm too late to start outdoors but im getting some acreage within 3 weeks, I got 10 plants started in little pots . I have a question about the tarp you put down under all those 300gall Smarties , what serves it purpose? Also is that fence to keep elk from eating your buds?

okay i want to do 25 100 gallon smart pots, use 7 bags ocean forrest soil in each...10 1gph drippers...fox farm nutrients...what else would i need. besides tomato cages whats the difference between indoor?

Hey dro, that is weed mat. It keeps weeds from growing up in my gardens. The fence is to keep deer out. We don't have Elk in this part of the county but the deer can do major damage.

Finally getting some beautiful weather. Getting some more plants in the ground today and working on our drip systems. We are still pushing hard but things are looking good. Yesterday was crazy windy and it was a battle to keep the plastic on the hoops. If the weather stays nice we will only keep the plastic on for another week or two. Tonight is the last night we will be running our supplemental light. We have had some clones we planted almost two weeks ago without light and they are vegging nicely with no sign of budding.
Here's a little wild life. Capt's new pup Ace. He is a good boy.

Gopher snake I chased out of the road today. He was about 4' long. Five minutes after this pic he was in our garden trying to get in the warm hoops.

Planting our second to last row of clones. Half and half OG and MR Nice. These plants were in 15 gallon pots. Real fun to transplant.:drunk

Lots more monsters. These plants are close to outgrowing the hoops. We will be getting our trellis netting to put over the hoops real soon.

hells yah!

hey if i plant before july by october could i harvest 3-4 pounds a PLANT with 100 gallon smart pots? ocean forrest and fox farm?

Not in Colorado my man, the weather in october will kill your plant, if you got plants that are ready to flower put them outside but otherwise at this point i would Highly discourage this its much more difficult then it looks in the pictures. you got many many many things you need to take into account while preparing for a outdoor grow like bugs, water supply, organics, and the list goes on and on. Start doing your research now for next year and you will have a nice little garden but as for your 3/4 lbs by october, pipe dreams.:bong-hits:
