Spoken like a true capitalist. Who cares if they are ripping SICK people the fuck off with outragous prices. People that base their beliefs on purely capitalistic measures with no morals are what is ruining this country. Hey its a free market if some idiot is niave or desperate enough to buy it that makes it ok.

Yes I am speaking as a capitalist, that does not make me immoral and it does not define me as your definition of a capitalist. I dont see the problem. The fact someone is ill does not make them any more special in this respect though I am sure a capitalist measure would be to give medical patients a percentage off if the issue was wholly legal.

Do not hate those who bring it to you. Hate on those who made it get to you that way. You are right to be angry but I say focus that anger properly and I see that as marijuana prohibition and the messed up operating environments/policies the government has created because of fear do make it legal all ready and let us move on.

If the government wanted to make it cheap for sick people they would make dispensary's not for profit with salary caps and regulate it. Government does not want medical weed cheap. They want the tax.

On another note, who is who to tell someone what they can charge. They are taking a far greater risk than a buyer. Now I am not justifying their pricing nor saying I agree with it I am actually speaking generically on the issue. The costs and risk physical and personal are high and hey if they would be connected well then they dont they have to send alot of that money on up?

I wasn't saying that all felons are shady...but there are shady ass felons running some of these clinics. I know a lot of decent folks who owns these clinics as well. It would be great to keep the money in the state for Colorado residents instead of having sketchy con artists moving here from all corners of the U.S. to bank on medicinal marijuana.

I think the CO legislature got it all wrong. While I do believe their intent was to run out the organized crime part of i.e. the dispensaries that were nothing more than fronts for the Mexican drug cartels. I think each case needs to be taken one at a time. Honestly, any violent or major drug conviction needs to be weeded out of the system (no pun intended). An individual that got picked up on a cultivation charge for having 5 plants growing in their apartment 20 years ago probably needs some amnesty. Lets look at this realistically if you are taking an industry that was completely illegal years ago and now want to legitimize it in some way just a few short years later. Then you need persons that have intimate knowledge of the product in order to do what is best for patients. And if you are naive enough to think that some big pharmaceutical company or a stream of new growers is going to get it done then your over medicated already. But, organizations that are just capitalizing on this industry for a quick buck and then kicking it up to an entity that is larger than just a chain of dispensaries need to be shut down.

This is where the consumer plays a much stronger role then the government that we all know we can not trust. Instead of whining and bitching about what we all know is wrong just stop doing business with them. We have options and collectively can be a lot stronger than some government agency that clearly just wants to make blanketed statements on an entire industry based on the motives of a few shady individuals. Do your thing, surround yourself with the right people that are in it for the right reasons, and let the criminals hang themselves. At some point they will do something foolish with their books and be brought up on RICO charges. In the meantime we can all identify the legitimate business's and choose to support them. This is where a community like the farm can really keep things on the up and up and help spread the word.

The Russians def have a strong grip on the marijuana "centers" in Colorado....it's crazy how the weed business just exploded over here. I've lived here for over 20 years, been smoking dank for over 15 years and glad that the new marijuana laws will be kicking out shady ass felons and mafia/cartels out of this state.:middlefinger Well..can't keep all the bad guys out but most of them. Jack herer didnt come out as good as i wanted. But the Bubblegum and Juliet are at 60 days right now, and they look amazing. I really cant believe my eyes. Its so hard not to chop them down already, but i want to let them go as long as possible. the shitty thing is that i have to move, so i cant start the next cyle till i find a new crib. When you coming up to the mountains?

1284 sucks. it screws the people. screws the sick. props up the profit. nothing wrong with profit, but we don't need an elite fee based system with supposed morals keeping Colorado safe. Pushing down the pot felons was just one more FU from the likes of Senators Romer & Massey and Thief Gov Ritter. there is nothing 'good' about 1284 unless you ended up with some sort of business advantage because of the rules. Nobody is safer or better off because someone with a previous pot conviction gets pushed out of the legal pot business. It's just one more punishment is all.
