Thanks guys. I truly see this as me improvising a solution, when I really should have heeded the warnings before about the importance of good AC. As I said, I probably will end up doing another mini split eventually. That Friedrich unit is a monster for cooling. It could cool the whole thing if it was all one room.

TF I believe they make dual & multi zone mini splits keep the cost and visibility down.

That is what I was planning on. Only thing is that the units are usually 12k btu each. I woulda done one for the whole thing, but I wanted 24k for flower, and another 12k for veg, and one more 12k for the lounge. For now, I will run my AC setup as is. Temps are now in check. Pickin up another batch of clones this weekend. Wish me luck.

Yeah I'm not that savvy w ac but there is a thread on here w a couple guys that are. Maybe they might have the solution you're looking for.
But you seem pretty knowledgeable yourself. Good luck w getting some quality clones.

TF, this actually makes me feel a little better, as I got a 14K dual hose portable for my room (THINKING I was "overkilling" it) with 4 600s, and that little fucking piece of shit can't even get below 85F.

Glad to see that even someone as thorough as you made the same mistake as my dumb ass.

Those portables really are horrendous inventions, so I just had to drop a G on a custom vertical cooltube.

Yay.

Sorry, just wanted to rant and let you know that Undersized AC Misery Does Love Company.

It's Alive!

Finally! Got me another 6 Blackberry OG clones.:party0045:

I put them right into the net pots in hydroton. Raised the lamp up high, and dialed down the ballast to 360 to start. So far so good. It has been over 24 hrs, and they look better now than when they were transplanted.

Pulling up a seat for sure. Whats your game plan as far as nutes go. Now I gotta go read this entire thread again so i dont ask any stupid questions lol.

anyways bud, all the best for a bountiful harvest. Looking forward to your updates.

EDIT: excuse the questions, found it... "I am going to run H&G full line by the chart, and see how it goes. I also got the hydro fungicide to add to the mix."

Sweet bro! Back on track, again :) I bet it feels damn good!

I'm using 1" cubes in netpots, too! I didn't want to take the chance of anything getting over-saturated this time around.

I noticed what looks like a sulfur burner in your room. I have read guys running really high humidity levels to increase growth and they are able to achieve this with sulfur burning.

How often are you burning and for how long each time. At what week do you cut it out?

Thanks guys,
been a long time coming. Nothing has been growin since April. Yep, I'm going with the H&G. Just heard too much good stuff about it. The burner hasn't been used yet, but I plan on burning 2-3 times during flower. I got the PM on my last run, and I am not wanting to take any extra chances on this one. After this run, I am going to clone in the aero, and transfer straight to the hydroton. No soggy big cubes here. Then it would seem that the top feed is no issue at all.

Hey TF (or anyone who might know about sulfur burners), since it prevents PM (which is a fungus/mold), does sulfur also help to prevent bud rot/mold at higher humidity?

Not talking like 90% or anything, but if it allows me to run my room around 60-70%, I'd sure save a lot of money on my electricity bills from my dehumidifier not having to work so hard.

Sorry if this is a threadjack - lemme know if you want me to remove it.

Look into krusty bucket style grows. Krusty and a lot of his followers swear by a min of 70% at all times of the grow. Some lower it down in the 50-60% last 3 weeks just to be careful. Krusty claims guys running really low humidity throughout the entire cycle are robbing their yields big time.

A lot of those guys are not getting any mold but they use a sulfur burner which I believe I read krusty burns twice a week. all the way up until end of week 6.

With that said I got PM for the first time last week. I sprayed a lowest dose recommended of dutch masters zone mixed with the highest dosage of their penetrator. It got ride of the mildew over night and I have no seen any of it all week. Gonna hit them with their second spray tonight. Shit works IMO and can be sprayed up until harvest to control PM.

I always thought that bud rot and mold were a by product of a powdery mildew? Anyone care to chime in?

Is it possible to have moldy buds and have zero powdery mildew in the room?

Yo! the new clones look great. I like to run sulfur three times a week for 4 hours after lights out. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Helps keep the bugs away too :)

I think bud rot and pm are different animals but sulfur kills all. Just my 2 cents.
