Here are four different Sannies Jack F5 x DSD. All hydro, all the time. Had one major setback, however, the plants survived and will make for some good clones. Tight spacing on the nodes so far. Even growth! One leaf type seems to be a saw tooth the other a little more rounded. We will see what happens.......Here some shots of the plants so far......

Thanks you for the kind words so far. They would look better if I did not already fuck them up! Twice in fact. Just goes to show you the power and resilient nature of the plant that they look ok at all. Lets see what happens this week.

Im not sure what my plans are for the plants! I will take pictures so that you all can see what the growth looks like. My flower room is booked up for three weeks unless I can creativly get the plants in there somehow....

Im vegging with Jacks Hydroponic and added CaNo3. This is a well made nute mix! I changed the reso today, sprayed with a 5% bleach solution(the resos plastic is white even though its black in the picture thats not mold or anything weird, the reso is new), wiped it out added nutes. Tomorrow I will take more clones and line the tray with platic to keep out light and to maintain a moister root zone in between waterings.

I also put in the new 4 foot 8 banger! T-5 power to the max. It also has 2 switches to cut on the lights 4 at a time as you see fit to add a little flexibilty. 40,000 veg lumens at 400+ watts, so it aint cheap!

Also in the picture of all the plants crowded together are 5 Flav by TGA next to the Sannies. The Sannies are the four on the left hand side, making an L shape, and have a slightly darker greener, squater look than the the five Flav plants that are on the right.

The plants were started in a rock wool cubes and then put into 6 inch coco pots with hydroton. The roots grow through the pots in no time, and the pots can then be laid into a bigger net pot as needed. The only bad side of using coco netpots is the cost.

I decided to transfer the Sannie's into 9 inch square netpots. The rock wool cubes that the plants started in are now seated well above the flood line after transplanting. The roots will love the new hydroton balls to wrap around and expand.

It is easier to cover the tray with plastic and move the plants once they are in the square net pot! These Sannie plants explode from early on, when fed well, and need a lot of space if not trained from the first stages of growth, as in day one!

Now, after this transplant, I will give them a few days to recover from all the crap that I have put them through! Poor plants...They are growing a lot now even with major hiccups..

I included a shot of my rox washing bucket. As you can see I just drilled a 1,000 holes in a 5 gallon bucket. We all hate washing that shit! I wash small batches everyday as a daily chore. Very small batches at a time so that it is never very tedious. A little everyday, day after day adds up over time to lots of clean hydroton.

Also is a shot of the stem and branches of one of the palnts. Not a whole lot of purpling! Often, purple in the stems and leading to the leaves is not genetic as I use to think, instead, it shows a problem with the nute uptake!

The last 2 shots are in my grow room, under 1000 k. I dont know how to take good pictures when the lights are on. I am six weeks in with a Sour D hybrid. The canopy is still very lush and green. I did encounter a Mag problem in the center of my canopy right under the light, causing leaves to canoe, not a whole lot of stripping however, just curling. Next round I will add Epsom salt a little sooner!

I dont starve my plants of nutes, instead I feed them a good well balanced diet right up until the end. Maybe a flush with ro at a strict ph of 5.0 for 24 hours, using sulphuric acid as a ph down...anyway have a nice day...

Looks great! They look so healthy! How do they smell?

I have been looking to grow some Jack or a Jack hybrid so I'll be following your grow closely.

BTW, some photographers have had good luck shooting under HPS with polarized filters.

wish my grows looked that good

Thanks a lot! Check out what happens.........

Two of the plants turned out to be females and a lot went down over the days and weeks leading up to now, not all of it good for the plants. The phenos are strong Jack leaning phenos for sure! But we will get into that later. I cut clones of the plants on Dec 13th and transplanted the plants into the nine inch net pots several days later.

Here are some pictures from Dec 21. Ive never had roots come throught the bottem of the nine inch square net pots like these plants did. This was after just a couple of days. I knew that the plants were loving the Jacks and the T-5 4 foot 8 banger! I wondered what the roots might do with a little time if they already looked like this. I would soon find out.

I was feeding them Jacks Hydroponic in veg with added Calcium Nitrate and the results after transplanting into the bigger square net pots was incredible to say the least. I lost control due to the explosive growth as you will all see. Anyway here are a few shots.... I was not topping or training in order to better observe phenotypes. This proved to be a big mistake. I knew at this point the the plant in the first top down shot was a male due to its rangey long crazy growth! It just looked like a male. Plant number four in the top down shots turned out to be a male and I thought for sure it was female due to its tight structure and overall growth patterns....

These plants are vegging in an active aqua 2 by 4 tray under an 8 banger 4 foot long t-5. The plants love the room and the light and the large nione inch square pots. The reso is a 25 gallon active aqua. I have now moved the reso out of the veg room/unit/box! I will show pictures later. I got so god damn tired of dealing with the reso the the tight confines of the veg room (maybe 40" by 8 feet) that I got the idea to just remove the rseo all together and pump the water in from the outside....but more on the later as I said.....

The bud shots were what was growing that same night in the flower room. The flower room distracted me over the next tens days or so because of the harvest and helped me fuck up with the vegging plants as you all will see..the buds flowering are Sour D and SVF OG. this will be a good lesson about crop mangement and growing within your means!

Dec 24th...mounted the Tower of Power to handle the overwelming number of freaking timers and cords...if you can get this item for cheap its well worth it.

Ive started to raise the T-5 and I realized that I am running out of room.......

Notice the plant number one in the first top down shot has just exploded in three days! It so funny how big its getting at this point and so obviously a male! I have seen huge plants however that I thought for sure were male that turned out to be female so you never know... The forth plant again looks a lot like the second and third but its was a male. I really liked its structure a great deal, although later I would kill thet plant in an act of plant murder!

The last top down picture is a shot of plants number two and number three, the plants that turned out to be females and very similer in terms of the phenos.

By the 24th I was not maintaining my reso they way I should and even though the plants have explosive growth as you will soon see, it is still not 100% ideal and there are nute defeciencies. I love hydro though....no soil ever indoors! Hydro let you blow it up homies......

Here is a list of mistakes made so far with the Sannies for you farmers to enjoy, laugh at or learn from.

1)Unplugged the intake fan in the veg box by mistake and with the 4 foot T-5 8 banger coupled with the 2 foot 8 banger the temps soared to over 115 degrees for several hours.

2)Had a timer mistake where I left the timer control the water cycle in the on position, thus watering the plants for 24 hours straight. Good thing that my tray did not overflow! Plants dont need 24 continuos hours of watering!

3)I had failed to spray the plants as a preventitive for PM. I ran out of Dutch Master Zone, and a batch was released from the company that had new ingredients and was all blue in color. I use DZM as a folier application on the plants at a rate of one tablespoon DZM to one tablespoon plus one teaspoon of Saturator per 32 oz of H20. The new batch both looked and smelled funny so I didnt want to use it as a follier application. I also had a slack attitude because I raised these plants from seed and perhaps I figured they would not get PM like all bay area clones already have. This is a wet year and Cali has ambiant PM from the North to the South. Even in the cleanest of gow ops PM is present. I should have known better as this Sannie is pretty slow to mature.....

4)I quit keeping a detailed log of everyday activities including temps, humidity readings, ph and ppm readings, ph down added and general notes about what I was doing and what day I was doing it on. It was around the holidays and I just quit writing in my personl grow log/journal. There are important notes that you should take everyday and log religously. Also its worth taking a few pictures every single day. Its amazing to go back and look a pictures across several days. You can learn a lot about nutes and deficiencies in particular when tracking your plants grow everyday with a few pictures...taking pictures is fast, easy, and costs you nothing but a moment or two of your time (after you get a camera).

5) I failed to crop/train/top the plants until the growth was out of control. I usually top and crop my plants pretty hard. In most hydro, when feeding a balenced feed the plants respond well to cropping well into flower. I never really topped these plants and as you will see they grew into monsters......

6)Over the holidays I didnt change the reso weekly or keep on top of the ph, which must be kept around 5.7! Drain to waste is always best, if you recirculate change those resos often! I let the ph do whatever and this is really fucked up. Man what was I thinking...........

Dec 29th! Even with my neglect the amazing Jacks Hydroponic formula with added Calcium Nitrate and the nine inch net pots are blowing the plants up! This is the first time ive let plants touch the lights. Ive topped the huge plant that looks to be male, however, it seems to have made it grow all the more. The growth rate of the plants overall was just shocking. I could not believe what I was seeing. It was almost as if they were growing right in front of my eyes every single minute of every single day.

In a little more than a week they had grown to the top of the T-5s! I was in trouble with no where to put these yet!

The clones I took all looked great and rooted no problem 100%.

I was neglecting the Sannies again because of the holidays, work, blah, blah, chicks, blah and oh yea those last fours pictures from the flower room on the 29th. I was about to harvest the Sour D and SVF OG (Swerve). This harvest took a lot of my time and attention! Thus I ignored the poor vegging jungle of Sannies. Those four pictures are what those buds were looking like! PM struck around week six or seven in the flower room so I knew that a twelve week Sannie would be no go in the bay area!!! Ten weeks would be rough too, however, with a good PM treatment program in place it could be pulled off.

Looks great! They look so healthy! How do they smell?

The two females that I will post pictures for over the next few days smell sweet and fruity like Jack Herer to me! I now see a difference in phenos and will post pictures of a few leaves to show the difference. One plant is very Jack, one a little more Diesel leaning. The smell came on strong pretty early after the flip. Much sweeter aromas than what I just grew, the Sour D and the SVF OG. I really like XJ-13 if you can get a cut for a Jack Hybrid! It is fantastic. Very potent, crazy swollen glands, great feeling high, awesome smoke from a skilled grower and done in nine weeks.

By the way, its the Sulphur in your nute mix that I believe really brings out the true aromas of the plants. most formulas can use perhaps a little more Sulphur. What ppm of S do you guys run? Hahahaha.......

I had one of these pop his head out of the soil last night. First organic attempt for me, so it's great to see your info on them and know they are pretty resilient. I'm a bit worried they're going to grow too much after I switch to flower, so I may play it conservatively and do a short veg, after seeing the kind of growth you're getting with them.

Here are a couple of shots from the first day of Jan. The plants show a lot of vigor and are healthy even though I was basically neglecting them. The ph is too high but the plants chug along. It would be 5 or 6 more days before I would flip to 12/12 and give them some space. I wish I had managed the canopy. I knew I had really let things go too far at this point. The plants growth was funny almost....from the 29th of Dec to the Jan 1, just look at the difference.....

From Dec 13th to Jan 1 is just an amazing amount of growth. Just look at the first pictures of the report until now. This is due to the simple fact of Jacks Hydroponic formula with added Ca No3 rocks in all hydro systems. Its a no brainer. Why more people are not using this simple two part formula I will never understand. This plants exhibit a lot of hybrid vigor it seems and will stretch!!!!!

I could not raise my 4 foot T-5 8 banger any higher. This prompted me to remove my reso from my veg unit so that I can now lower the flood table to the floor really, thus leaving me with ample room for the lights. I thought I had ample room before but I was mistaken.

This overcrowding led to rampent PM! I suck for letting this happen and it is a plant sin! Yes im guilty this grow of commiting sins against my plants. They depend on me and I let them down. I was not spraying for PM control as I mentioned earlier. My grow op is very, very clean, however, the bay area is crushed with PM right now. I ran out of DM Zone and the last batch from the company was strange and different in color and odor. I spray DM Zone for PM treatment on my plants directly at a rate of one tablespoon of zone and one tablespoon plus one teaspoon of saturatur per 32 oz of water. This will not burn your plants at all! Try it. You need to spray every few days before PM sets in. Try this and see what happens. The runoff from spraying is not bad for the reso at all. In fact I add zone to my reso at the rate of a half ml per gal. Very light sprays with greencure will burn pistils and glands.

The newest batch of DM Zone looks to be closer to the older product and im spraying that on my latest round of vegging plants.

I also advocate straight bleach around a half ml per gal if you dont use zone. I will put 25 mil of bleach into my 50 gal reso! This was hard for me to get my head around at first! Adding bleach to the water? WTF? Keeps things real clean and sterile!

Here are a few shots of the flower area for the plants, for those who are interested, as Im getting the room ready now that the previous harvest is out. Why would PM grow here! Before and after shots. Lined with some new plastic, pulled up the the stuff covering the floor and sprayed with bleach everywhere. I even use a hepa on the air intake! I cleaned up good and got the tray and reso looking new and the Sannies are ready to transplant! They are all fucked up though from overcrowding the burns from the T-5's as tyou shall see....

Stringing up trellis netting to dry my buds on instead of just string? Thats smart. Even the haters didnt think of that! The trellis works great. Hang more buds in a tighter area. That is SFV OG and Sour D that is drying not the Sannie. And yes haters the buds are sticky!!!!
