i also got a nug/pic of sum blowfish that was gifted to me from a northwest grower ..this was passed to many as the one and only BlowFish but your guess is as good as mine

The only real deal would be an old ass pack or a sacred clone floatin around from the old Dutch Flower days..

Blowfish from Dutch Flowers

(G13 X Oregon Funk) X (G13 X Blue Dot)

Breeders Description: Named after the deadly Japanese delicatessen, this breeding project begun when we set out to improve taste and yield two weak traits of the G-13 by using Oregon Funk as a pollen donor. The results were quite pleasing but the smoke test revealed that G-13's power had been downgraded somewhat. Then it was the turn of a very impressive Blue Dot hybrid stud, which qualified the G-13 with great taste and no harm to its potency, although this time yield was less than desired. Finally, we applied heavy selection to each of these two G-based lines, and crossed them giving rise to Blowfish, a winning combination of G-13's deadly punch and the quality and taste of the Funk and Dot lines.

Blowfish exhibits great F1 vigor and disease resistance in a well-behaved plant that avoids the undesirable traits of "blue" genetics (difficult to grow, brittle, leafy, poor calyx to leaf ratio) while maintaining the flavor of the Funk and Dot ancestors and the brain-warping power of the G-13. A prolific flower producer even under poor conditions (it actually prefers low nutrient levels), this low-maintenance strain bears wonderfully dense buds, with a thick coating of milky crystals that will rival the best of the "white" strains in both crystal coverage and brain-thumping quality, with much better flavor and yield. We are proud to offer a hybrid carrying no White Widow, Northern Lights, Skunk or Blueberry in its composition.

Im seeing some different phenos in my f3 in structure and leaf shape but all smell similar.these were done from 2 of the 5 different f2s that the 3lbs did and there are also the s1s that jojo rizzo did and there is also the katsu cut and also the one cbf had from his testers of the strain.also I think the only packs of the f1s went at auction to jo jo and the 3lbs for high dollar.ill put pics of mine up when I have a minute.

haha.. sorry about that, i tend to get a bit anal at times

a while back i saw some online clone only list and it had both blowfish from df and choco d from santasmoke as clone only while i still had seeds from both (f1's now f2's and s1's of choco d and f2's and s1's of blowfish) so i've been a bit quick to set the record straight about it since

regarding those pic's dorje showed
it appears the indica pheno's of blowfish i have will stack calyx's 10 or more deep from the bottom of the plant to the top so dorje's pic seems to be a valid representation at least as far as what i have experienced

well I know that there is a FUGU kush which is a blow fish cross or an updated version... hazeman and mota combinations...

I really woudl like to see some more grow reports of either blow fish and fugu... but I thought that blow fish did originate from a dutch seed company at some point.. could be just a cross the pond theifery like happen often with good north american gear...

I spread the original Dutch Flowers BF all over the front range about 4-5 years ago. I'm sure she is around if you look for her

2 pack were auctioned on c-bay
1 pack was also sent to cbf iirc as a pre release

one of the 2 packs was won by the 3lb's /3 little birds/ aka the flintstoners who made f2's and crosses then also listed them on c-bay

katsu won the other pack of f1's
he grew one out of 10 seeds and sent the other 9 to jojo rizo to breed as he sought fit and make the results available to the general public via c-bay mostly though s1 variants

I had the Katsu cut, and passed it to a few of the first dispensary owners back in 2007 and told them to spread it far and wide. Stretchy, thin branches, small tight nugs, very frosty, and smells like Aquafresh toothpaste mixed with blueberry. Finishes around 55 days. I don't grow it anymore "

you need to realize that the katsu cut is just 1 random out of thirty f1's and the only one that katsu ever tried so it was not the pick of the litter but just one of the litter that he happened to grow

for the record/ the pheno's i have of f2's are light in flavor but have 4-6 hr effects so the genes are worthy

The cut i had came from CBF who got it from pre realese seeds, Dutch
Flowers, a friend in Australia sent he seeds to him. He called it grape Vino Blowfish, and then renamed it Dogfish. It smelled and tasted like grape wine, 70 to 75 days, huge medium tight buds lots of leaves, we were the only ones to have pre release selected cut before Katsu purchasing his strain...

I remember those C-Bay auctions. $500 -1000 a pack if I remember correctly...and probably don't...LOL...but I digress....

I grew out a couple of packs of the cross Jojo made called "Blind Cave fish" (Cave clone x DF blowfish). The Cave side was very Trainwreck-like..... and the Blowfish side/cut I kept was like smoking Carmen Miranda's hat w/all sorts of fruity flavors exploding in yer mouth

Still have some seeds from 3lbs called "Muggles" that are yet another O Blue Dot x G13 offering from the looks of the labelling on the pack...

Those DF seed packs were as hot at auction back then as any White/Kush (Raskal) packs are today.
