Who is the best? How do you choose who to use?

I never wanted a tat until my son passed away. Now I feel the pull in a big way.

any guidance would be appreciated. If you have a special tat you'd like to showcase here, please post a pic.

My first design is a reticello marble that my son blew in his glass studio that looks like this. I'm looking for someone who can impart serious color and make it appear 3-D, if possible.

Up here in the north it's Skibo and crew that I hear and see the most about..

There are a couple in Longmont that do decent work, portrait as well as some traditional latin stuff Think Twice tattoo is what he calls itm now and at The Tattoo shop in Aurora those cats have some skills.

Phantom 8 in Denver has some talent up in there also.

I have a few and lookin for more, gotta few 6 hour sessions ahead of me.

I like tattoo artist that also paint or explore other artistic expressions other than tattooing, especially with the new school artist that have graphic art degrees or worked as an illustrator or commercial artist or something, whole new game for sure.

Sorry tex, Skibo's is kind of a joke. they've been around for years. But Phantom 8 has some sick artists, especially the shops owner if you can get an appt. Also Th'Ink tank on Broadway is fuckin sick if you can afford them. If you call and it's gonna be 8 months out to get an appt thats a good sign.

Lovin some of the Phantom 8 artist for sure, looks three or four really layin it down.

Well you know me Sky, and i still haven't found anyone im ready to hit up out here.

my peeps did recommend Boulder Ink, but think thats cuz they have a traditional jap style artist that kills it. usually though when the homies recommend a shop, the whole shops usually on point. might be worth looking in to.

Hey sky i got a whole lotta ink and have been to many many tat shows here in the state, and i can say that red sky tattoo in castle rock is the shit, real bright colors and lines, good designs, everything i just cant say enough about them. also there is a lady down south in pueblo that works at tourtoured souls that does some of the best portriat's ive ever seen on flesh.

Tattoo slingers are a dime a dozen. tattoo artists are a lil harder to find just like good mmj breeders. Yes they all have attitudes its part of the job. Just like mmj breeders.

I got a lot of tattos myself... to find someone trully top notch is tough, don't know what the scene is out in colorado, or if you are willing to travel.

Might be nice to leave Co for a bit?

Mike Devries is badass as Mr goodcat says.

Come out to hawaii, Mike Ledger is my fav tattoo artist of all time though, straight up:)

Probably not the greatest advise on my part as he is always booked up at least a year in advance.. he does serious serious work, so there is a serious wait time:)
