you gotta figure the new one has to be better for them 2change it ..no?
idk could be other reasons, but advanced usually has some serious money into research and development...right?

an been hearing the chatter about how they have many products that are similar. so they've been reformulating and combining. won't be any worse i assure u, just watch ppms.

I remember it was like a year ago spring time when they changed it. I remember hearing people say that they liked the old formula better. I ran both and got good results from both.

I ran into a x- A.N. rep (a year ago) and x- hydro store owner who was all over them about the change. He said they are all about cutting costs which means taking some good ingredients out (I think he said magnesium or humic acid in the case of Big Bud) and replacing them with something inferior. He said most of their stuff is snake oil. I took what he said with a grain of salt and continued using their go to basic line along with GH base nutes with great results. All the other stuff is not needed IMO.

Liquid Big Bud has been specially designed for use with all
hydroponics, sphagnum, and soil growing mediums.

Bullshit...save your $$ and use molasses unless doing hydro.

thank you, farmers for your opinion,. ordered an big bud off ebay and they sent me the old bigbud it seems like the old formula has more things in it like aminos and mag and 0 nitrogen i will be using it will see if i see a difference im not worried about it going bad cause its powder

Yo i have a 130 gram bag of the Dr. hotnby big bud powder what is the application rate your using it at it says a .5 gram per liter is this what you guys use it at I'm thinking of trying it on my 1200 watt flowering room to compare. it to the liquid what do you guys think.

big bud

Hey Farmers,

Dont quote me on this but I think all the new labels are supposed to now be considered part of their "PH Perfect" line but I'm not 100% on that or if the old labels are as well.

Also, soluble Big Bud is stronger and NOT the same as the liquid. As you can see from the labels below liquid big bud is 0-1-3 small amounts of Phosphorus and Potassium and weeks 2-4

And the soluble is 1-17-38 a little Nitrogen and stronger amounts of P and K.

Just something to keep an eye out for cause not many people including myself have noticed that.

For my people that have and use both liquid and powder do you began using it weeks 5-6 in flower since the liquid is 2-4? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Rite on it was my first time using the powder so u used it at 2 grames per gal but I only used the big bud and calmag just to be careful I'll
Use it at 1 per from now on Thanks Venom.

I ran Hammerhead without Moab and was not impressed. Worked ok, but was hoping for more. I like Big Bud better.

I like to do something similar to the Hammerhead /Moab combo with Big Bud. Week 4 of flower I reduce the Big Bud by 50% as well as reducing the base nutes a bit. Then I add a half dose of Monster Bloom 0-50-30. That seems to help my girls bulk up quite a bit.

As far as what Redeyesjedi said regarding the different NPK for the powder and the liquid Big Bud, I asked aknowledgable guy at the hydro store about that a few months ago. He said they are essentially identical, but for whatever reason the powder tests differently as powder. Once mixed it is nearly identical NPK wise.

Have to disagree, I ran Hammerhead without MOAB and results were just fine. Not quite as chunk as my Hammerhead/MOAB combo, but i attribute that to feeding a minimum and being under a year old 600w, not a 1kw.

But again, why would i not run the hammerhead/MOAB combo knowing the results. And yes i run hammerhead solo until wk 6/7 when i add MOAB...and things go great.

Venom,

I prefer the old big bud powder. It has been re-formulated. You can see it in the ingredients listing.

Which formula is better there new one or the old big bud.Thnx

I like the new formula, but you need to make sure you are using just a but less than the bottle says.

Like so many others have said, I've found the newer formula to be stronger than the last version. I have to admit that I didn't realize the formula had been updated at all until I read this.

I mean, I assume Big Bud gets updated, but it seems that I didn't catch the annoucement about it...LOL

?? Big Bud Powder ??
At what application or dose are you giving it at and what weeks? I'm in week 2 of flower and tried the hammerhead 4/8 and moab but wanted to try Big Bud Powder

I do not know about grams/gal but I ran it in the past at 200 ppm. JK
With the aminos floral works better

So I should mix it into a gallon till I get 200ppm out of it then add my nutes, or figure out how much is 200ppm then dump it and do my nutes then add BigBud last?

The powder is different from the liquid, and I did see a difference using the powder. Refused to spend my money on the liquid because it looked just like the Humboldt Nutrients product (can't remember the name now!).

The amino acids make it smell kinda... salty, like soup.

1g/gal sounds about right to me.
