Hey Freak,

That is a 4'x12' row with 3 1k's over it, non-air cooled. The girls thank you for the compliments! This room thrives this time of year as it's a pretty cool room, I do work with sweats and wool bike socks on...lol

There were 4 main types of Jack floating around in Cali. A couple were considered commercially viable. J-1 or J-4.

Your plants look killer and those buds shots are tremendous. Really nice work.

Im experimenting with hugos and big mamma blocks now myself.

Hey Snowblind, thanks for the info! I've seen the J-1 and J27 a lot back in the day, don't know if I've ever seen the J-4 though. I know I don't have the J-1 but for all I know it could be J-4, I'll keep updating it til she ripens and maybe you can tell...
It def has some of the J-1 odor but more oily and stinkier, more hazey it seems, have you tried the J-4?

Yeah, I'm digging the hugos a lot, I can carry 2-3 cases myself easily instead of hucking 25bags of dirt...hurts my back just thinking about it..lol
I'd love to hear how the big mamma blocks do for you, they look giant!!

I would like to know more about your Jack cut....

personally never been a big fan of Jack...tried some great phenos. We did a cup over here and there were some great Jack Phenos and surprisingly...one particular cut got my attention unexpectedly. It actually scored very well on my scorecard....

I have a Critical Jack cut from Dinafem.....I really dig it! Added a little more sweetness...and the high keeps soaring. It even produces better than the Jack cut I have, but the Jack I have is not whispey by any means.

Sounds sweet, that Critical Jack, i bet the critical part of it made it more dense? My jack isn't the densest but still yields really well, could only imagine if it had the og density...Do you have any pics of the Critical Jack, I'd love to see her if you do!

Nope, never tried the Overdrive from AN, or the powdered Kool Bloom as I've seen it increase peoples chunks but seemed to have a bit less sheen, crystal, kinda looked a bit less dull but dense and chunky with that addition. I haven't experimented with the MOAB more than once so I can't say if it lowers quality for quantity a pinch but GreenThumbDanny seems to grow the super with MOAB so Maybe it's better than the powdered KoolBloom. Not saying you can't grow dank with powdered KOOL BLOOM but it seems to lower the quality just a smidge which for some maynot be an issue at all.

If I test out some AN nutes I'll try the overdrive but when I glance online at AN's site I just laugh myself to tears with these master grower additive bundles...LMAO
So many additives, gotta narrow it down to a mild, % of the recommended number of products, do you use Big Bud?

Have you tried doing the Liquid and then switching to the dry?

I currently run pretty strict GH Flora series schedule....I start adding FloraNectar and liquid KoolBloom in week one or two at the latest...then stop using the Liquid KoolBloom and switch to the Dry about 3-4 weeks from harvest depending on the length of the run. I swayed from GH a couple of times...one being to try the FAD of the time AN...always returning to GH. Guess I am one of those die hard GH peeps...lol

The switching of the Liquid and Dry is how GH says it should be ran......Liquid KB is for bulking where...Dry is for ripening. Just not sure about the quality issue....what works for some may not work for the others

Here is a pic of GreenCrack...just grabbed a photo of a grow on that schedule

Green Crack

Here is a Skunk#1 ......I was mashing thru...minus the Nectar

Hey Baked,
No, I haven't tried switching to the dry, I've never had a problem with ripening without it..
I totally agree with you, what works for some may not work for others.
Everyone has different room environments and genetics and reflectors,equip...and then factor in grow technique...lol

I started out with all organic and used bunches of diff nute co. and recently have decided to go super simple with GH...
I like it, I think people overuse it to make up for their environment/genetics...but when used mildly and whatnot it works really well!

Lovely pics!

Lovely pics!

Give it a try one run...definate difference. I have ran just the liquid and tried just the dry....have to be careful if just using DRY...very hot load! I usually run 1 tsp for first week it gets hit...I also think of the liquid as a primer...for the load. Doing the liquid then dry ...you should notice a difference in density...but then add flora nectar to your mix and that's when the gals get those voluptious curves. I run the nectar along with the Liquid KB and continue that thru with the dry. I only use the nectar at about half the ratio.

I agree GH is super simple..but very consistent in what it does! I am not so sure if people overuse it to make up for their environment or more like trying to get some magical production out of .....and we all forget sometimes out of just a plant. GH is also very overlooked...no they do not have fancy packages or some GIANT AD campaign(magazines and/or movies) but they have been around since the beginning...they rely on growers to get the word out....like someone said already in this thread "tried and true"

Now this is just my humbled opinion...but I have only used their line in hydro runs....with the occasional starter in rockwool moving right into hydro. So I can not verify how GH Flora works in soil.

What are you running baba G?

I can throw up some more pics using GH if anyone wants....

I sure would like to get ahold of that Banana Split OG...and see what I can do with it. Been chasing the banana since I got on the forums and loving the Tahoe right now.....reminds me of old skool BC kush I used to run from the Emery days just alot more chemmy.

I would love to mash some of that Banana Split.....

Hey Baked:
I'm running an ebb & flow with Hugo rw blocks, might try some powder KB or an alternative on a trial run, maybe with the less dense genetics they might get harder...
Yeah, GH is mellow and priced right! I've never used GH in soil except mom plants with flora nova and they love it.

Yeah the Banana Split is a fun one, her sister the rOarGe is where it's at though in my book, she gets chunkier, and is super potent! The phenos are pretty much all interesting so far and have something to offer, based on the users preferrence some will pick others over some...

That's the fun with beans! We all have slightly diff or largely diff opinions and with beans you can pick the pheno you find most attractive and that benefits you medicinally!

That's what makes it great the pheno hunting....and sometimes you run across someone that ran out the same beans and has a killer pheno you like and you tossed it....funny shit

agreed tho everyone has there own criteria....

I believe I have read some using Dry KB in soil too...

You keep making slight mention of this rOarGe in many threads but no details.....break it down for us man what up with the sister pheno. You still gonna get it tested?

Thanks Caliogk! That Jack is a hit the ground running kinda gal, she just seems to have no stop in growth spurts! If she only had the rock hard indy nugs, her yield would be out of this universe...lol
