It's a cut, I would be suspicious about seed. I puffed her in Juneau in 80. Very chunky. Tasted spicy with a strong up buzz. Hoping she is still out there. Peace GS

It`s a cut unless you have had access to the rare seed. Even cuts are suspect of not being the pure form! Well looks like pure cuts are becoming nearly as rare as the seeds are now. Got my seeds in AK back in the early 80`s from a family member.Even though I got it through a family member you can`t beleave how hard it was to obtain! I had to trade some also very rare genetics and hassle for over two years for 5 seeds! You`d think it was his children at stake! He wouldn`t even ship them and made me drive up to collect them! It`s dank stuff and the trip it`s self made it worth while 5 days and 4 nights, (24hrs a day) all the way in a 70 Nova SS in Winter and same thing again in late Spring time! But I still have seeds and my pride of being a super seed hoe!

cut I have tasted in or is mild to say the best, looks good, tastes good, lil chocolate creeper, but I was expecting more. I just gifted some mftf f2's made from a cat up north, said was real deal, I just aint impressed with buzz. Seems to be a commercial thing around here, along with purple kush, even the LVPK, I just wished it was stronger.:) I wonder if the Kodiak Gold is any good, or better or worse, just curious.

hello...my two cents...i was raised in the interior where most folks who smoke...grew...even back in the eighties there were numerous lines labeled matanuska thunderfuck...not like seed company lines, but more like: bruce down at the end of the roads seeds, or, the crazy chick who lives in the yurt seeds...ha...and every single bag sold in anchorage was called mtf....the term mtf was so overused that it had lost some of the appeal it seems to have regained the last 5 years...for a time, alaskans who buy weed (along w everyone else) only wanted names like skunk northern lights and haze....i know growers who have heirloom strains they call mtf....but for years and years in alaska it was seeds that drove the next years crop, not cuts...of course that has changed (unfortunately)....some of the best herb ive ever come across are just "last years seed crop"...i have stated before, if there is one true and pure mtf....most alaskan growers wouldnt know they had it....i sure wouldnt...but many alaska growers have it in thier genetics....the internet and us strain snobs came along too late for us to ever know for sure....
....but i also think it was a good thing.....i have never seen a grower post pics on an internet forum that i wasnt 100 percent ready to believe was, technically, mtf....it was,is everywhere....imo....

MTF was what people from the states called our weed when they came up for the pipeline in the 70's. Most pot in those days came from the matanuska valley, so it was just called thunderfuck buds. There's a couple classics still rolling around though.

I have AlaskanThunderFuck which is what we supposedly lower 48'ers call MVTF(not the sagarmatha shit either) I have had and grown it for about 5 years and got it from a biker that has grown it over 25. It is a stable strain (meaning no nanners under stress and is even kind of hard to reverse) I am sure it is sativa dominant by it's leaf structure and growth patterns.(skinny leafs and when in veg it is a bit lanky but that can be fixed by supercropping)He told me he used to have an indica dom one but this smoke was better so it was lost. It WILL NOT finish in WA outdoor unless you force flower it.(shade a greenhouse) It finishes indoor at 56 days although I prefer to take it to 9 weeks for taste and knock out high. If you only smoke a little it's very energetic. If you smoke to much then you'll empty the fridge then pass out. The dried buds smell almost "poopy" until you tear them open, then fruity maybe even rotten fruity. The smoke tastes a bit fruity, slightly skunky old school taste that isn;t found in many smokes today. I do not build a tolerance to this strain and most people I know say the same thing. It is my flagship strain and can never get enough of it. some people can never dial this girl in and shitcan it, it is definetly not a beginner strain as it is very finicky. It doesnt like a lot of nitrogen in veg, when in flower it becomes a N hog. It gets the worst yield in dirt and loves hydro but suffers loss of taste. I found it's best home in coco with good yield and good taste. -BB

I also grew up in palmer down by the fair grounds and i know for a fact there is a "person" i know well who is now turning 65 and is oldschool to the max. He has the original and has had it forever. Grows in his greenhouse and has many pure landrace strains he alternates crops on. Person use and shares with friends. Looks like merlin kinda with a hankercheif tied around his head in summer lol. It is rare yes but it is alive. Ive known him all my life and he will tell the truth no matter how horrible it may be a great guy. Ill see if i can get some tangible proof for you guys to see. Peace

Ok, I may have to change my mind that mtf is bs. I have sourced some clones from Palmer. Not sure if it's real, you must understand, I've seen alot of MTF, none the same, but this cut matches the last description, a Lil fruity, 60 day flower time, and I got em from a guy that looks like father time and has been growing it for 30+ years. I'll post some pics when I plug em into my system.

my friend was nice enough to let me post since i havent an acct here, 2004 i was gifted one clone of mtf....didn't have a clue what it was when i got it and have since seen a lot, made sure she made the rounds of my friends/family....she has never disappointed me, tho agree can be quite finicky and definitely not for beginners....still have her and intend to keep her always in my garden

The MTF my friend has looks sativa in growth pattern/plant structure/leaves, but is a knockout indica. Very branchy, long node spacing. Buds are kinda knobby/reachy/super foxtailed. Lotsa red hairs. VERY long-fibered (when you pull off fans, the fiber will usually tear way down the branch)

I've got the og mtf. It was given to me in84' when I graduated from high school. I used to get 15000$ a lb for it in Alaska. It is a thick, indica dom pheno, turns a bluish lavender, and smells like french roast coffee with fruity pebbles in it? Best I can do for a description. Will post something when I've got a cam. I've been crossing and growing thes hybrids of mtf, and all the best cuts I've deemed worthy for 25yrs. We have decided to make these availiable sometime in 12'. I am far from computer literate so I will post pics when I have a trusted friend to help.
