I think the key is to limit terms of all elected officials to terms no longer than 4 years. You have all these antiques who have been in the senate and congress for like 40 years. That's a long time to be accepting bribes and favors. Boy would that throw a monkey wrench in the political works.......

What if we put All Politicians on a Commission Pay Basis . If in Fact they do Something Good fer the People we then Vote them a Pay-Check . If they fuck up then They Owe Us .

Also I say we give All Elected Politicians & Officials (2) 4 year terms , The 1st term in Prison or on the USA & Mexico Border protecting America . Then I betcha they will Gladly Serve We The People with a little better attitude & a lot more fuckin Honesty as well as Integrity in Their Public Service of We The People .

If they fuck up then we use em as Shark Bait to feed the Hungry Sharks or send them to Belarus Concentration Camp for a Major Attitude Adjustment & some much needed Clubbin by a Raging Redneck named Bubba .
I just fuckin love it when a plan comes together ,,,

Belarus

Calling All Bubba's for Public Service at Belarus Concentration Camp to be Clubbers for the Clubies . Let us put the Fun back in Political Dysfunction ,,,

Hell O Buba

lobbyists are definitely one of the main problems. Big money gets what big money wants.

You could do the right thing and vote for Ron Paul. A guy who really cares about the country.

Make sure you become republican so you can elect Paul for the primaries. Ron Paul is NOT a conventional republican and owns everyone on the issues Americans care about.

Its that simple.
The only question is, why isn't every weed lover in America marching in the streets for this guy? He is the ONLY candidate who gives us the respect of understanding that the Constitution does not empower the Federal government to dictate what we put into our own bodies. He doesn't agree with abortion on a personal level, just as he doesn't advocate smoking weed, but most importantly he does recognize, and lives by, the ethic that it is none of the government's friggin' business! Not only does he talk the talk, but he has walked a very lonely walk for 20 years in that cesspool we call Congress. Anybody that hasn't taken the time to really listen to him (likely because they heard MSNBC or FOX call him a nut) is doing themselves and him a serious injustice. Google his comments on weed when he was on Bill Maher's show. You wouldn't believe the number of libs that are suddenly looking at him and listening to him for the first time and going "this guy's a Republican?"

He is the only member of Congress that every year returns unspent taxpayer money given to these pukes to staff their Washington offices. He refused the Congressional health care plan (Platinum Plated Plus), and their bullshit retirement jackpot. He even pays into Social Security, which the other pricks don't have to and don't. He has never voted for any tax increase. He has never voted to fund any war, including the war on drugs, He has never voted to raise the debt ceiling, and he is the original single voice in Washington that started calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve 20 years ago. That and his monetary policy alone should win him the election,... but we're not that smart!

Problem is, can he win?? According to the latest poll Ron Paul has less than 10% of the republican voters backing him. Romney and Cain have 25% each. Does he have the financial backing to get his message out. There needs to be a lot of $$$ thrown his way. If you want to see a mmj friendly candidate money talks and bullshit walks!!
Not one single media outlet reported that Dr. Paul won the California straw poll, and yet, the first and only poll that the 6-6-6 Satan from the Dallas Fed (Herman Caine) won - in Florida, and suddenly he vaults to the front of the class... with the help of every major media outlet carrying his water. The MSNBC,CBS,ABC crowd would love Caine to win the nomination because he's about as electable as McCain was, which is to say he isn't, and they know that their messiah would eat Caine's lunch. And BTW, while I realize that Florida is a major electoral State...WTF do ya call Califrigginfornia?!?! How does that just manage to just silently slip off of the screen???

Ron Paul is the only politician that you will ever see answer a direct question directly, without trying to restate it as something different and twisting it into some bullshit talking point. He just looks straight at the questioner and speaks the truth... and it totally fucks them up. Yobama would rather wrestle with Ronnie Raygun reincarnate than try and deal with someone as honest and forthright as Ron Paul. He just flat scares the living shit out of all of them, because he's right and he knows it, and they can't find anything to tear him down with... so they just keep trying to say he's crazy. It's the only option left to their desperate asses. He is truly the closest thing that we have ever seen to a real Mr. Smith going to Washington.

I am a great proponent of bringing France's "National Razor" back into prominence where politicians who abuse the public trust are concerned. I think that we take a few Congressmen out front and bounce a few heads down the cobblestones, and they won't be so quick to sell us out to every lobbyist that swallows their knob. Maybe some serious reality TV in prime time will get the message out. We could put all of the out of work carpenters back on the job at the same time, building guillotines in front of every politicians' office across America. Just a little daily reminder for them to walk by on their way to work each day.

the key is to kill the lobby and to somehow undo what the supreme court did when they ruled that corporations have the same rights as individuals
And didn't that pretty much open the flood gates on corporate politician buying as well. Suddenly a legal entity that is nothing more than a paper condom has better protections than we do. Just how does a corporation deserve a higher level of Freedom of Speech than an individual citizen. It's a creation of lawyers, almost as ridiculous as the scrip that the Fed creates out of thin air.

Ron Paul has won more straw polls, more decisively, than all of the other Republitards combined, and yet even the Fox empire insists on ignoring him. Mainly this is due to the fact that Dr. Paul has no love for the Too Big to Fails and the Federal Reserve that enables their reckless fiscal rape. Listen to the gaggle of idiots on Fox Business one day. They would all gladly drop to their knees and suck off every trader on Wall Street given half a chance, because they all come from there, and they firmly believe that a healthy stock market is necessary for a healthy economy. It's the idiotic QE crap that the Fed keeps diddling to prop up the markets that has helped create this abyss, but they all still look squarely at the turd that it is, poke at it, sniff it, taste it, and them insist in their insane state of denial that it's not shit...it's cotton candy. They're all the ones that are nuts!

Again. If you care or believe about nothing else but seeing weed legalized, Ron Paul is the only choice. The media has done everything possible to marginalize him precisely because he scares the crap out of the status quo... because they don't know what else to do to try and destroy someone who actually has integrity. Hell, Fox resorted to completely ignoring him when they reported the Iowa straw poll results. He was second by only about a percentage point, and yet they reported the next day who finished first, third, fourth and even fifth... woops, what happened to second? I think even Jon Stewart called them on that one, but it has't let up, it's only gotten worse.

It's all crap. They can't afford for him to win, so they do whatever they can to keep people thinking that he can't win. Trust this. They are most likely lying as much as possible about the level of support that he really does have. The other thing is this. The people that do support him are the most loyal and fervent of anyone's supporters, and that includes Yobama's. They will not shift with the breeze that follows every debate like all of these other nitwits. Dr. Paul sees the idiotic waste of the wars over seas and here at home, and he intends to put those that have become invested in those wars out of work. The peace dividend that we realize from that will make the Cold War shut down look like pocket change... and then, we can actually start fixing this other crap.

Problem... I don't see any problem here. Build a few guillotines, get Ron Paul elected, and end these idiotic wars. Problems solved.

You are absolutely right, if the US doesn't cut the waste/fraud/inefficiency you had better learn to speak Chinese.

As far as lobbyists go, that is what has caused most of our problems. For instance, the cost of an election, any election has skyrocketed to the point where the candidate cannot run a completive campaign without help from backers. Which brings on professional campaign fund raisers (lobbyists) and they seek corporate greed through closed door promises to help the corps by way of $$$. In a former life, before I was reincarnated as a pharmer, I saw this first had at the state level. To beat the government you must first go along with it, become part of it and overthrow it. If this doesn't make since it's Saturday night, I'm stoned and right now I don't give a shit!!

And thats exactly why we need someone like Ron Paul, becasue nobody wants him to win. After all, he is straight up ANTI big government, and pro individual rights and the free market.

I know he probably wont win, but I am definitely going to vote for him. Maybe, just maybe he can pull it off. Especially now withthe internet, we no longer are required to listen to mainstream media for our "facts".

Ok Capulator, I agree with you. But right now our voice is nothing more than a flea on an elephant's ass. So candidates like Paul can pick up a few extra votes vaguely supporting the cause. (what ever that is) I'm hearing that we are now a majority so why don't we make more waves at the ballot box. It's because we are to young or to stoned. Until we decide to to something about our rights, nothing will really ever get done. There is no such thing as medical alcohol because the public demanded a drink!!!!!!

It astounds me how blatantly the media just flat out totally ignores Ron Paul.

Brother I already changed my party so I can vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. I am walking the walk, not just talking about doing something.

I suggest anyone reading this look at the candidates and decide for themselves, then VOTE, because it does matter. The media wants to kill Ron Paul, but like I said, they cant turn off youtube, or the internet.

^ props. Ron Paul is winning, or placing close 2nd, in poll after poll after poll.

Unfortunately, I do not have my voting rights back yet.

Im a registered independent - theres a form you can file to be able to vote in either rep or dem (you can only choose one) in the primary elections

this will be the first time in 26 years of voting I will place a ballot for a republican candidate

It's a shame that he is a Republitard. If not, there'd be a whole army of folks in the middle and on the Left supporting him by now.

Just another example of how twisted these pukes are, even today as Perry fades into oblivion, they still mention him in every news cast and completely omit Dr. Paul.

And yet his following continues to grow.

All we have to do now is figure out how to overcome their bullshit voting machine scam.

Vote Ron Paul,if you want change.I told you "obamanites" that dude was a puppet. So was bush, clinton, etc. I think after kennedy got his head shot off,the puppets have been in the white house.Heres a lil taste of recent change the puppets make for us.. .

not sure where the obamanites are your talking about

I vote independent

I already new

America

I was intrigued by the young upstart - but shit became pretty clear when before he was running for pres he said he would filibuster any bill that gave the telecoms immunity for helping bush spy on America

fast forward 19 months - he has the democratic nomination locked up and it comes time for that bill to be voted on there was no filibuster - just a yes vote

pretty damn hard to get to be in position to be voted president in this country without having to compromise your morales

probably not possiible

Ummm... not to throw cold water on this discussion, but doesn't this thread really belong somewhere like activist's corner?

My .02 is that the core of the problem in Amerikan politics is money. Nothing significant will change until there is a hard, bright BAN on every dollar going into the political process from ANY source that doesn't actually breathe- corporations, lobbies, party slushfunds, labor unions, etc, etc. And, that the limit for any actual, breathing individual must be low enough that everyone can participate, like $10.

Of course the US Supreme Kangaroo Kourt just affirmed the 'right' of corporations to spend as much as they like, right up 'til the day of elections. If you or I tried that, we'd end up in prison for violating federal campaign finance laws. Can someone tell me why corporations HAVE MORE CIVIL RIGHTS THAN WE DO?!? Now, there's a sound byte for the Occupy Wall Street crowd!

This guy isn't a republitard . He is a republican in the truest sense. Constitutional Republic. Look it up. We don't live in a democracy. Never have, Never will. Unfortunately we have a supreme court that is highly politicized deciding what the constitution "really" says. Now we live in a corporate oligarchy. Look it up. Also when one is focusing on the Bush appointments for the supreme court and assessing the damage, look at the appellate court appointments. That is where most of the damage was done. It's the appellate courts that will shut down any attempt to hold any corporate entities responsible for anything. I'm kind of curious to see what Ron would be able to accomplish if he is elected president. I think the secret service would have their hands pretty full if he tried to do all of the things that he wants to do. What are we going to do with all of those DEA agents when they go into the real workforce with zero skills at anything but busting down doors and screaming. They all got that job so they wouldn't have to work. I can just see one of those guys on a construction site with his thumb up his ass wondering what to do and being dismayed at the concept of actual production. "Duh, I thought I was hourly. I didn't know I actually had to do something". Multiply that by the rest of the prison, military, health care, etc industrial complexes, and you are looking at huge unemployment.
My$.02 but I'm really old so $.04
