After a delay due to remodeling issues (it always takes longer than youd expect it would), ive just kicked off a test grow of Mota's Grinder (g13/hp x mikado x g13/hp). Seeds were laid down this morning into jiffy pucks. Plants will be flowered in 2 gallon hempy buckets using lucas formula.

More to come as the plants develop........

Germ rate is 10/10 in 72-ish hours, w all the kids poking out of the pucks and standing up straight. I wont waste anyone's time with pics of 1" toothpicks. Thus far im impressed with the early vigor of this cross . A good start out of the gate indeed.

No wet slow seeds here.........

Flipped these plants to 12/12 last nite, 6 girls from 10 beans.

Heres the last 2..........and a group shot, I put em under a 400 hps. I will pull 2 cuts from the bottom of each girl tomorrow. They are a bunch of little squaty bodies, which is excellent for prairie growing. I hope to find a girl or two to run on the (dry) river next yr. Always looking for something special to run here on the eastern plains of Colorado.

Looking good Mendel! Did you top them or is that there natural structure?

6 weeks 12/12

These girls are chugging right along, 6 weeks of flower today. I trimmed them up pretty heavy at 2 wks or so of flower, and they took it well.

It looks like there is 3 phenos expressing in this cross. A shorter dark colored plant with large buds that smells like raspberries (mikado), a mixed pheno, and taller lighter colored plants that id assume is the hp/13. The hp/13 look like theyll go longer than the other 2, with the shorter raspberry smelling plants finishing first.

They are gonna be fat when their done. Not bad for a 400 hps. I bet theyll slay it outside. I have my eye on a couple of them as possible mother plants for next yrs outdoor.

Enough bullshit, heres the pics. They are in order from left to right, plants #1 and 2 in the first pic, next 3-4, lastly 5-6.

I wacked these girls at 60 days. All but plant #2, which was the heavy hp/13 dom, were showing a smattering of amber trichs upon examination. Trich production in this cross was very good, giving the trimmed buds a 'white' type appearance.

This is easily one of the stinkiest grasses ive ever trimmed. The only other cultivar that comes close by my memory is a white russian cut I used to hold. High calyx to leave ratio, and a snap to trim.

The scissor scrapings are veryvery potent. I cant wait to sample after a bit of a cure, the smell is divine. The shorter phenos have a distinct berry (not grape) smell, but a hint of sourness. Im not smelling that typical indica smell in these plants.

Here are the (less than good) pics. Plants are shown in order, first pic plant #1 and 2 from left to right, pic 2 #3 and 4, pic 3 #5 and 6.

I will attempt some dried bud shots with my wally world camera when the drying down is complete.
