So here is the deal,

I plugged some numbers in to the cannastats calculator, and startign around day 30 (at week 5), I am going to change the formula to 1.5 g/ gal of jacks hydro, 1 gram of epsom, 1.9 g/gal of the cal nitrate, and 1 ml/gal of H and G drip clean, giving me an almost perfect 2-1-2 ratio (this is what has been recommended as a "flower boost" at the gardens cure additives thread")..

I also just bought some pure sulfuric acid, so that I am not adding any extra P.

Upon further research, the jacks formula contains no Chlorine, Cobalt, or Selenium, so now I am on a mission trying to find out how much of those elements I should put in the solution, and where I can get them... That way I am giving the girls all of the food groups.

EDIT: Selenium is not worth trying. Not enough info on it and could negativley affect the plant. Chlorine is definitely needed at around 10-50ppm. Sodium chloride is not a good source, due to the build up of sodium in the media. Therefore, looking in to CaCl, which can be used to add calcium adn Chloride, without adding Nitrogen. Still researching cobalt..

Chem-T's are just finishing the stretch and I've held them steady at .7 EC Hydro, .1 EC Mag, .3 EC Cal-Nitrate.

Upon Blindsides advice I'm going to give them a taste of full strength once in week 3 and 5. So far I have gorgeous healthy looking plants with no tip burn.

Get a good meter, read your plant, and keep it simple.

I just gave a patient some meds this afternoon that'd been on Jack's for the last 3 weeks of the grow, no flush at all, and she said it was the smoothest smoke she could remember. Totally in love with this stuff.

Star Dawg, Wifi, Chem-D, & Chem-T are now all under the care of Jacks. My staple is complete, watch out for more photo bombs. Up next Bubba Dawg. (Pre 98 Bubba x Chem-D).

Been listening in, thinking I'll switch when the jugs run out. Off subject, but how's the pheno on that bubbadawg? Have you run it before? I have D going now and just cracked a pre98 s1. Sounds like an interesting cross..

Mix between baby shit & coffee early in flower. Late flower it changes to deep coffee, then in the cure the baby shit creeps back out. Everything is rock hard, and in week 8 turns deep purple if you drop the temps.

QP per plant is possible. The high is mainly sativa with a punch of indica.

Here's a roots pic since I started using Jacks. This has been in my rail since the 24th of October.

Loving Jacks so far.

Bro the best part about jacks in a system like that is cleaning it out. No residue. No mucky shit.

Heres a shot of some super lemon I just finished with jacks. Best buds yet. Ive run botanicares full line, ANs full line, GH, and dyna... and the jacks gave me the best tops and more lower bud swell than any of the leading brands.

Heck yea, that's what I've been loving. I'm soooo an easy cleanup kinda guy. Easier the better, and Jack's kills it for ease.

Sweet looking buds. I'll be pulling down my first Jacks buds in a couple of days, and will surely post up pics. Super dense compared to when I running botanicare.

i think someone was asking for this:

GUARANTEED ANALYSIS F1313 Total nitrogen (N) .......................................................... 5%
5.00% nitrate nitrogen Available phosphate (P2O5) ............................................. 12% Soluble potash (K2O) ...................................................... 26%

130 oz / 1000 gal
3705 g / 3785 l

3705000 mg / 3785 l = 979 ppm

N 979 X .05 = 48.95
P 979 X .12 = 117.48
K 979 X .26 = 254.54

N 49+ 101 = 150
P 118 X .436 = 51
K 254.54 X .83 = 211

Actual available PPM:
N 150
P 51
K 211

Or 3-1-4

Im running 2.95 grams of hydro, and 1.95 grams of CaNO3.

that gives me the profile:

N: 119
P: 41
K: 168

Still about 3-1-4, but a little less hot. PLants are loving it, except I need to add more Ca, so I have been lookign in to CaCl2 (calcium chloride), which I have but have not used yet. I was unsure abotu how much to add without adding too much Cl. Fatman told me that I can add 2.835 grams/ gal to raise ppm of Ca by 100, so I think I will try that at 25% strength (7 grams per 100 gallon), to get a Ca boost of 25 ppm.

I am also looking at albions metalosate calcium, and of course, my new favorite product Calcium 25.

''you must spread some repuation around before giving it to desert squirrel again." Damn computers- some people just DESERVE more rep than they get!

Sounds like you're pretty stoked abut the calcium-25 product. I just read your diary thread, you'd mentioned it there, too- any suggestions/things to watch for if I get it and try it out on my ladies?

Couldn't you just add more CaN03?

You will be able to see the results for yourself. 1 tsp / gal.

No. Because that would add N, and fuck up my 3-1-4 ratio. I have learned that the ratios are more important than the ppms, due to the way different elements react with one another, and with the plants uptake of said elements.

not sure if it has been mentioned, but Ca25 is Triacontranol (or something similarly spelled)
