Pix did not show up in last post, as you can see topping is working real well where I used it. I have 4 to 5 king bud sites on each of them that I topped. I am hoping for 3/4 per plant this run. Still using DM Gold and see no reason to stop is rock solid when you dial in.

End of week 4 Woo Whooo looking good

So things are going great, plants are bulking up and my lone KO Kush is exploding (Sannies) lots of golf ball buds, the other girls are great and smell is awesome. You can see the effects of topping on some of my girls, most have 3 to 4 and one has 5 or 6 I'll go and count and take a pix later.

got an issue here since starting the other system up, so ordered another 20gal humidifier that I will add an auto fill to. Ordered 2 ss 50ft 3/8 chiller coils will use it and a cool box to chill and cool room. May as well take advantage of my 1 hp chiller. will move the 1/2 hp into another room. Yup doing another system. So back soon and thank for dropping by. The first pix of the big plant is the KO Kush.

Chiller Coils

Well got the two chillers I am going to be using. They are each 50 feet SS 3/8 with garden hose fittings. They are for chilling wort (beer) and I purchased they from New York Brewing supply, the cost was 70$ and they shipped by US mail to Canada.

I had them in one week, real good service. If I were to do it again I would buy the 25 foot vs 50’ as this would do the same job but with a bigger pump. Stay tuned to see how they work. Will likely make the swap in mid Jan. when the girls are done, but you never know, if I get the bug could happen sooner. The reason I got them was I have a 1 hp chiller and it is only running 1 300gal system and it could do 2 more so will take the ½ hp chiller off the UC system and use the 2 coils with the 1 hp chiller to cool both Big Blue and the UC. I am going to use the ½ hp chiller in another room so it will not go to waste. I plan on hooking up an 8” hood cooler to cool the room this summer instead of the air conditioner. I am just buying the box not the fan as I have them. They have them with a fan



and without



Chillers are almost 50% more efficient than air conditioners, so with 1 or 2 of the chillers and my 8” fans should cool the room. So what I am going to do is the following, if you have any ideads let me know glad to have the help.

I will run a 45gal barrel as the chiller res. with a 2550gph pump driving the chiller. In that res I will add 2 mag drive 300 for the 2 fifty foot coils in the res of each system which will pump the chilled water to the coils at 61 degrees. When summer comes I just add another pump for the cooling. I will run ½ hose to feed each 3/8 chiller.

Couple notes
Do not use copper coils as the nutrients in the res will eat at them and release too much copper.
Do not clean Stainless Steel with Ammonia or cleaners like that as they will pit the SS. Use CLR or something like that. :sun

Week 6 of Flower

Here we are at week 6 and going strong, had the hose from the RO collection tank (45gal) fall out and drain on to the floor. No big deal with the EDPM on the floor, I just sucked it up. Girls are looking good and I have my new humidifier with I will install tonight. So will have 2 40gal humidifiers on auto fills going 7/24 so I can get back to 65% and turn these babies lose. I tried going to 900ppm but they started to burn so back down I went. Found some new fencing for the ladies, 2"x3" sq by 48" tall, 16 gauge and easy to work with and plastic coated.

I buy them from Sears but have seen other manufactures in NA. I just checked Sears and it's gone? this is the part # 427829614 - CONSOLE HUM.,53

This looks the same, the first one for 179$



I take the 2 bottles out and plumb in an auto fill, set it and forget.

I threw up a thread about humidity and the problems recognized as deficiencies for new growers and kinda touched on how it may accelerate root rot for some vets possibly... I liked them graphs and charts you threw down and was asking if you could add them to that thread and any thoughts you may have... good or bad.

I would like to get some more info for newbs from experienced people here, and that was good stuff you threw down!

Boy what a screwed up 2 weeks, first room was getting into the 95+ range, so added a 6" cooling line to the chillers, well got colder than I thought, checked the room 12 hr later and both res were at 50 degrees. holy shit bat man. Found the issue and fixed it, back draft damper, big $$$$. Took 6 hours to get temps back to 62. One plant looks like it thought it was time to go...

O did I mention the filler hose fell out of the RO tank and drained on the floor!!!!! my mistake took the clamp of for something else.

O ya it gets better, look in 4 days ago and I got Fucking Spider Mites the 2 spotted types. I used Avid on them and than nuked them again tonight and will do it again in 5 to 7 days. Get them all, little bastards, think I got them from bring in wood to burn, note to self change clothes or garden first. So other than that it's all good. Will get some pics in a few days.

Did I mention the computer died and had to get a new one.....another time
